Grow tent brand , any suggestions?

Hello Folks,

Been a while since i used this forum!

I am usually an outdoor person. This time i want to try indoor. I am looking for a good brand of Grow tent. I don't want the most expensive nor the cheapest. Something in the middle.

I need a 4x8 or something close to that.

I'll use 2x 600w .

I have two tents, an inexpensive one and a secret Jardin. The cheaper one does the job, but the secret Jardin is really nice. Designed well, pretty good fit and finish.
You notice it in things such as the mesh covering the passive intakes, zippers, etc.
Secret Jardin is not a gorilla tent but it's very good.

Don't get a cheap Chinese tent for flowering in. I made that mistake and got hermies every-bloody-where through light leaks.
I've had a few Secret Jardin and they've always been okay, even the cheaper "Street" versions..
Like a lot of thing, you get what you pay for I guess...

Thank you so far for the suggestions guys. I'll take everything in consideration. I do not plan to buy a Chinese knock off as i rather spend a little more and get something that wont have light leaks.

95% of tents are made in china these days. But there are some differences in Quality. I have owned 5 tents and all were good, I only changed them to make better space in the room I started. Secret Jardin are a good price, good quality. Recently got a black orchid tent and that was really good. Wether you can get them in your country I don't know. Gorilla tents are quality but incredibly over priced.
When I started growing in tents I had a 2mx2m with a 60cm x 120cm inside it as a veg tent. I may have been plain lucky with the strains I was running but didn't have any hermie issues, until about 2 years in and I put that down to reusing coco which I had used ghe ripen in. Never used it again and never had the issue again.
Companies start a business and then eventually send manufacturing to china to save money. The days of cheap shit PVC tents causing gassing are way behind us these days. I have spent the last two years sourcing stuff from china and you would be amazed at what you come across that you thought was made in UK or made in USA. End of the day they make good quality stuff and cheap stuff.

If you pay a lot for one make sure you have the option of returning it if you do not like it.

I have all 3 of the "better" ones, I have secret Jardin, grow lab, and a gorilla tent. I have to say the gorilla tent is the best one I have but its not worth the price. The grow lab is awesome I couldn't be happier for the price. I don't need to do pull ups in my tent. It holds two xxl hoods no problem. The secret jardin to be honest is a piece of shit. I don't like it all the much, it's a 5x10, the zippers have all failed. It never felt very secure like the grow lab. Now the gorilla tent, sure, if you got the bread go gorilla, but cost effective grow lab all the way.

So what is the difference between say 190D vs 600D shell material? or does that even matter?

I couldn't tell you the specs off hand. The gorilla is the thickest and it's the lite line. The Jardin has already ripped on me and I'm on my first run in it. It's almost new and falling apart. The grow lab you can feel the quality. Nice think, zippers work nice. Everything about it is ten fold nicer than the jardin

The lite line look interesting (Gorilla) and not so expensive. I am curious bout the one purchased from China that you said are surprisingly good. Are they from Ali?

I believe they're made in the states but who knows. Solid tents for sure, its definitely money well spent, and the only way to appreciate one is when you buy one from China, after it falls apart and you buy something decent such as a gorilla you'll never buy that cheap shit again

Quictent Solid Metal Frame and has that 600D material.

Sometimes I think people get drawn into the whole name thing.

LIke Purple Phantasy Tent.....
