I just cam across a potentially great idea, i have a dump truck that is about 8 by 12 with 4 foot walls. I was thinking about making a greenhouse in the back of it since i rarely use it. My idea was to plant a handful of clones in pots and possibly covering it with visqueen to help hide it...i'm in Michigan so when would be a good time and if anyones got any ideas i would be greatful to hear about them thanks!!

Parked in your back yard, it sounds like a great idea.

Just keep in mind that the green will show through the plastic if viewed from the air.

Just depends on who's looking.

haha no shit, thanks for all the positive feed back, in Michigan and i'm legal, however i was still looking for a good way to keep it disquised, i figured even thru a visqueen tarp, if any thing they would think its yard waste or something...

why bother hiding it then. id raise the whole thing a foot so it drains.and park it so the whole thing faces south, then fill it right to the top with premium dirt. man you would have the shit. if your legal you could park it where no ripper would dare. i just got up so im still half dreaming, that would be a good bed of dirt. good luck.

The only reason i wanted to cover it was so its less inviting for anyone to jump up and take a peep or something, alos that tilting the bed up slightly is an awesome idea! but im still thinkin buckets just incase i gotta use the truck a cpl times.

So if i got 10 day old clones that give me a another week to get them out there so that should work out perfect!

Uhm why are you jeapodizing your legal status again?
We are supposed to use a secure locked enclosure and i for one dont intend to give them a reason to confiscate my meds or guns or anything else.
A few sheets of plywood and a couple old sliding doors would be one legal option.
I waited a lifetime for this opportunity and refuse to abuse it or be abused for my foolishness.
Good luck what ever you do
Btw they make green house covering that allows light thru without being see thru. Kinda looks liike the rock guard covering on a dump truck too.

well the dump truck would be a secured location...i assume as long as its covered, and the back swinging doors would be pad locked making it secure

It's out of sight of the general public outdoors, that's good enough. It will work great as long as you scrog them super short so that as the buds grow they don't go over the 4' walls. I wouldn't make it taller than 4', if it's just the height of the dump truck it will look like a tarp just doing it's normal thing. Any taller and it'll look like what it is.

Don't forget to insulate the pots/whatever from the cold steel of the dump truck.

With the thing facing the right direction towards the sun you'll do well, it'll just be hard to keep them short enough.

the bottom of the dump truck is wood so the temps shouldnt be a problem, now i just gotta find the right greenhouse covering and figure a wat to vetilate and i should be all set!

could you get away with the plants growing a bit higher than the sides? 4' is not alot of space youll have to train them or start flowering quickly with blackouts. but if you could grow higher check out any comercial greenhouse supply store there are plenty online. you will find lots of differant materials to use to cover them.you could possibly stake it a foot or two higher at all for corners and put your covering up then leave the space in between the top and your truck open for air flow. then you will not have to continually crawl under a 4' space to check and move your plants-if they are in buckets.and get some air flow at the same time. i still say fill that fucker with 3' of killer soil and let them grow huge in open sun but i understand its probly not an option.

It'll work. Especially if you stick with plants known to not grow to tall...and you can hop in and out from time to time to tie them down if need be. The plants will have A LOT of root room...so they might turn into little trees. I'd absolutely recommend topping them after the 2nd true node. A thick 3' tall bush sounds...pretty ideal.

topping=longer to flower if your up north. ive topped and untopped,at 2nodes 4,6,8 it doesnt matter the topped plants always take another 10-15 days. ive done this with dozens and dozens of clones and seed plants. it doesnt seem to matter how early they just do. your better tieing or screening. thats just my thoughts. when i grew up all the older growers told me to top but ive long since quit that.the yeild is the same or better untopped and tied over. not trying to be an ashole but thats my expierience.
