Grow shed, help?

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to read my post! This is my first grow and I have recently started making a grow room inside my little shed out the back i just have a few questions about it plus any advice would be great!

so its only around 900cm high, but on both sides ( as you can see in the pictures) i have 2 planks of wood which i could possibly extend to make it bigger. But i was thinking of maybe just attaching fly wire around those two sticks while having the HPS light hanging in the middle... is this plausible or should i just hammer some more wood and make it bigger?

the shed is going to be free of any natural light, incase anyone was going to mention that while using fly wire. any other problems i have over seen though?

thanks alot!

You could do it buy you would lose light. Instead of the wire you could use mylar?

Where about you from? It getting a bit cold outside adn it wont be long till the winters hear you will probably need to think about heating your grow hut.

As the above poster elluded to, your going to need to put some serious thought into how you are going to control your temperatures in that shed. Maybe you live somewhere that its always 75 but if not, your going to have to have a heater and thermostatically controlled fan to pull in outside air to cool when needed. Climate control
Is one of the most important variables and the one most often overlooked.

Thanks for the replies, i know it looks a bit shabby but ive only just started it. i was actually more worried about the heat at the moment seeing as its coming up to summer and in the arvo the sun shines on my shed. But i was thinking of putting them outside during the day then taking them in for a few hours at night.. IS this fine to do or can you NOT switch between sunlight and HPS/CFL?

I live in australia (melbourne) so i get all 4 season but it doesnt snow or anything like that here, should i still be worried and maybe invenst in a heater for winter though?

No prob using sunlight at all. I dunno if you need a heater or not...depends on how cold it gets. You want it always at least 68 in there.

Legally, I just noticed your signature, it made me laugh.. Happy growing dude!
yeah, that thread was fucking classic. "hey man, I'm going to bust out a 20k watt grow for my first time". Can you imagine how completely underwater you would be if your first grow was 20k watts.

Because I am limited for space and I have seen people grow in pc's before so i thought this would be fine for 1 or 2?

Well, call me an arrogant asshole (wouldn't be the first time) but I never use the word grower and PC case in the same sentence. I'm not saying it won't work but it does seem pretty short. Especially if your using an HID bulb. The other issue is that smaller spaces are more prone to environmental fluctuations so having a little more room is always nice. I'm sure others can chime in with more specific advice as I'm not really well versed in micro or small grows. If you wanted to convert your whole shed to grow in however , I could offer quite a bit of advice

Cheers

Yea i dont see how they would work in a pc box either, especially once they start to flower. That is very true, i was considering using my whole shed but the thing that put me off it was the fact that its not 100% weather proof.. for instance if it rains the concrete floor will get wet, not from roof but from the bottom sections of the walls.
That is one of the only reason i thought of maybe doing a grow room inside the shed.. to protect it from any bugs/humidity in the shed. Still would those factors matter inside the growbox (with ventilation ofcourse).. i mean does this type of shed even sound viable for hydro lol? or would the water in winter attract to many bugs/mold other bad sorts.
