grow room

ok im a first time grower. im using a room thats is approximately 6 ft long by 4 ft wide by 8 ft tall. i bought a 600 hps, exhaust fan with carbon filter. i plan on growing 15 - 20 plants. will this light be enough. i have about 2 1/2 months to grow and harvest them? any suggestions and tips

for best results, you should put one more 600 watt, for 50 watts per square foot...

2.5 months.....yikes....got clones or growing from seed?

i dont think 2 1/2 months is enough.....unless you plan to flower directly from clone....im not the guy who will know if 15-20 plants will fit in that space tho......ive never grown

Yeah... I hate having to do this, but...

You are going to fail. One, 600hps won't be enough. You might get by with one 1000w or 2 400ws (heat may be an problem though). Light issues aside, your time frame is far to small. You might be able to do it if you acquire some mature clones from a quick blooming strain. Finally, 15-20 plants is going to be tight in that space, but not impossible (not impossible for an experienced grower maybe).

Anyway, don't get discouraged by a pessimist like me. I have been proven wrong before. All that I'm saying is that don't be too ambitious, you will make mistakes that will cost time, remember to factor that in.

thannks for the help, ii now have 3 1/2 months and im starting with clones that are going to be a foot tall, i guess ill only grow 10 plants and get another light

10 plants is what that 600W HPS will do..15 maybe...20 is pushing it...my room is similer check me out...
