It might be pretty tough to cool your closet using a 1000w MH. I would try using an exhaust fan for sure, you could use whats called a duct booster for small areas. They are much cheaper than an inline fan and put out around the same cfm's as a 4in inline fan. If that does not work you might have to look into getting an air cooled reflector. Hope this helps!

Use a smaller light. 1000W MH is a HOT light. Either way, you need an exhaust, not just for heat, but so the plants can breath, and to keep the odor from building up too much. You can use an air cooled reflector, too.

you can cut a hole out of hte drywall in the ceiling, stick the exhuast fan so the hot air can go to the attic and keep the cut drywall to spackel back on when your done. Check out this store for cheap valuline fans: www.ezhydroshop.com. The new air coming into the room can come through the bottom of the closet door :)

Those fans work but not very good. That 1000w looks really close to those pots so id atleast move it up some. A 400w will probably be a lot cooler than that 1000w you have now.

Like people already said 1000 watt lights make a lot of heat. I'd imagine a 1000watter would be over kill for a closet grow. I run a 1000watt MH light in my 10'x10' veg room. I have an inline fan for both intake and exhaust. This is the 6" fan I use for exhaust: Valueline 6" Inline Fan. By the way that link is probably the cheapest price for inline fans hands down, if anyone knows a cheaper place I am all ears. If the intake is bringing in air that's 60 degrees F, my room will stay at about 75 degrees with the exhaust running. So my 1000 watt MH light raises the temp of my room about 15 degrees even when it's air cooled.

So if I were you I'd get a smaller light. But if you have your heart set on using a 1000 watt, I would think you would need an 8" air cooled reflector and an 8" fan.
