Grow Room In My Bedroom Questions

I am about 20 feet from my tent with no door separating me from it. I recently picked up an AC Infinity CLOUDLINE S4 as an exhaust fan upgrade. It's dramatically quieter than the cheap one I started with. I use setting 4 out of 8 on the speed controller it comes with. That setting moves sufficient air (I think) for my tent dimensions (32 x 32 x 62 in / 81 x 81 x 157.5 cm ) and doesn't keep me awake like the old one did. I am also running insulated ducting. I don't think insulated ducting makes nearly as much of a difference as the new fan does. Though, it might be something to consider if you want it to be as quiet as possible.

AC Infinity does carry 6" models too (like Hashishh mentioned). That might be a bettter fit for a larger tent like yours. I'm thinking it could probably move as much air as the 4" ones do at a lower setting.

Duct mufflers work quite well for sound coming out of the exhaust end of the ducting; used in a apartment for venting out the window and sound was negligible. Don't forget epic sized carbon filter, preferably 2, one scrubbing in grow room as well.

Good earplugs help a LOT with fan noise at night.
