Grow room decor

As far as a grow room i have the luxury to use an entire bedroom in my house. For those of us fortunate enough to have an actual grow room, any ideas on grow room decor? Right now i have my grow tent, a table with nutes and grow supplies (scissors, twine, mixing bowl, measuring spoons, watering can), cases of RO purified water stacked on the floor, and the windows taped up with Mylar. I feel like i want to make it my man cave and improve the feel and vibes. Any ideas on shelving, artwork, furniture, or just general decor?

Some of us aren't trying to commercially grow pounds with 20+ plants. I grow for personal and I'm not going to pack a 250sqft room with plants. Most grow rooms look like some uncomfortable purely functional space. My bad for wanting to make my grow room feel a lil more like home and less like a bare room that's only purpose is to house a plant.

I forgot when people "grow up" they don't need anything aesthetically pleasing. Wait i forgot I'm a professional adult with a career, a wife and kids, a house. So i think that means I'm no longer younger. Excuse me for trying to bring some modern decor themes into a grow room. I guess I'll go strip the drywall to the studs and hang sheets of Mylar all over with nothing but fans and bare ducting everywhere lit in the harsh yellow light of HPS. That sounds like somewhere I'd like to spend my time in. Oh wait if i hang a picture of a naked chick that'll set it off right? I started this thread hoping there were more people that thought of their grow room as more than the stereotypical room that looks like it is in the middle of a remodel but the construction is never done.

Actually, my wall decor consists of only white/black poly these days. :P
To me, that's beautiful.

Most grow rooms are dedicated purpose built areas for a reason. Have you grown before? What's your experience level. Ever had a grow wiped out because of bugs/mold/etc? I have..twice..why? i wanted a combo grow room/hang out area..they don't go together. I went surgically clean in my DEDICATED room, everything is sealed in white plastic , anything non essential doesn't go in there. I spray/wipe down with a 10% bleach solution almost every time I'm in there. Look at the people who have problems..and look at how they maintain their grow areas..there is a correlation. I have a living room and a garage i can go hang out in

Answer me this..you leaving the carpet down in that room?

This coming up would be my 6th harvest, first in almost a decade though. I totally get it. I've thought about converting the room into something commercial looking but i pay too much damn money for this house. As far as containment and sterility that's why i have an 8x8x7 tent that doesn't get opened unless the room is spotless. Believe me I'm completely OCD about cleanliness. So as far as contamination it's a non issue for me. I have been fortunate enough to never have mold/mite/thrip issues, maybe my opinion would change then. and yes i also have other areas of the house but that room is designated as my "man cave" and i put in a lot of work with my wife to get that designation

OK this makes more sense. If you have tents go for it..I was under the impression it was just a open grow room you wanted to add a living area into.

I'd say to get a cabinet for storage of the grow related stuff, something with doors just so it's out of sight. A table of some sort, I've always liked the coffee tables that can extend up over your lap ever since I've seen them, give a nice work surface, they have couches with built in tables also...you're married..you'll need a couch every now and then.. You just putting in tunes or a full entertainment system? Otherwise it's kinda up to you depending on your style, artwork, display some trophies, weed related stuff, porn, guns, hot wheels, antique knitting needles..what's your thing?..IDK..I'd put a small glass display case for my glass pieces somewhere. I can say I don't like most fabric furniture around a grow..leaves/bud/trim get stuck in it and is a bitch to get out if you don't get it right away.

To be honest I love this idea the longer you're near your grow the more CO2 around. The better the grow.

Today i installed a cabinet and shelf for my supplies (previously i had been using a Playskool picnic table i stole out of my kids' room), a 1920's antique steamer trunk that is going to be used to house the 2 quart glass curing jars, and a Bluetooth desktop stereo. Tomorrow I'm going to look for a loveseat or chair at least... leather, pleather, vinyl, anything not fabric. I like the bud porn idea. The two windows in the room are covered in Mylar and taped with gorilla tape to keep light and heat out, but it's ugly looking. The only issue is they're huge like 8×4 so either lots of small pics or huge artwork, maybe curtains but despite the fact i want to decorate i don't know shit about curtains. A glass display case and coffee table sound great, I'm definitely looking into that. We'll see what i can find

Would you want to get rid off the windows? You could always board the windows over on the inside. Carefully remove the trim all around the window and screw in some sheet rock or plywood over it. Keep the trim to put back up if you want to use the window again. I've seen people build shallow boxes around a window so they can leave curtains up so it looks normal from the outside, also the box makes a good spot for hooking up venting to/from the window. I read one guy who put in a night light in the box, on a 7 day timer, to have it look like lights on at different times.
Check out high back computer/desk style chairs, I've come to like them much more than traditional chairs or recliners. They can be just as comfortable, but with reclining/swivel/height adjustment and wheels.
Wall art? Get someone to come in and tag your wall in weed porn.. Do it on the box covering the window so it's not permanent :bigjoint: I just found this..looks like a grow room..

your taking your plants out of nature, and basically jailing them in a room, id say play music for them and let them watch some t.v, lol im a firm beliver in the "Backster effect" look it up. plants have feelings and they know your intentions, shit theres tons of shit on youtube to prove it, even a woman who taught her cactus to sing back what she sings to it when hooked up to a vibration machine..
