Grow Report: Cafe Blue Sky White Widow (oakland dispensary)

Heres a few pics from my current white widow grow. The clones came from Cafe Blue Sky in Oakland, Ca. I am currently a prop 215 patient growing my own meds.

1) Clones at first were a bit tough to pull out of shock when I brought them home.

2)Once out of shock they did not seem to need much nutes AT ALL. I actually burned them a bit.

3)Vegged real nice (grew Nirvana WW last grow and tried using the same feeding schedule but let me tell you Nirvana WW can handle twice the nutes that Blue Skies can)

4)Switched to flower and started flower quickly. Buds bloomed like crazy week 3-5.

5)Getting alot of yellow leaves and even using more nitrogen during bloom than normal to restore the green but its not seeming to work well

6)Resin production is phenominal (using bud candy/molases)

Conclusion- This white widow strain obviously has great genetics from the looks of the buds and how frosty they are, but they do not need much nutes. If you get these clones do not over feed and flush ever other feed. They seem to grow better without any form of topping or LST. Prob. be great for a SOG as the tops are ginormous and Im only on week 5.

PICS COMMING NEXT(GIMMIE A FEW MINUTES):peace:

My Widow has went from WTF is this crap? to FIRE! Since Im not a regular smoker, I hooked up some friends with my White Widow (aka the fuckin hay). I just recently started curing 3rd crop widow.

Well little did I know this crop was FIRE! Still no smell & very fluffy... But its some fluffy fire.. lol

The high: Couch lock & tweeker talk. Like an energetic high, but people didnt want to move. I guess it was better than I thought, but I still wouldnt grow it again

They look great Super Dave. Couple questions if you don't mind:

How big are the pots you're flowering in?

What size are those lights that you have hooked up in serries?

How much would an average plant yield? Say in cups of cured bud, I can never figure out how much an ounce is to each person.

I was following your ducting and was wondering how it worked - are you venting out the window with the air conditioner below, or drawing cool air in? The back right corner looks like a vortex fan connected to the ducting, is that an air inlet or an air filter?

How many plants, how tall, the demensions of the garden?

thanks, looks like a great grow.

Hey Hobbs thx! First, my pots are 5 gallons and I usually pull anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3 ounces per plant. Each light is 600 watts and I have an 8 inch fan pulling outside air through the hoods and exhausting into the attic (outside air in my area is 40degrees to 65 degrees). I also have a separate 4inch inline fan that pulls outside air into the room. (Im not even using the AC its just there for the summer time) The other ducting that you see in the pics are my charcoal filter which has a 6 inch fan pulling air through that. Im not sure what you mean by ounce in cups but when I said 1 1/2 to 3 ounces that is dried product. My garden is 19 plants and its about 9ft by 3 ft.

Nice setup and grow.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you keep the algea from growing in your trays. I have a open tray Ebb and Flow, and algea is always trying to form.

Hey street rider, I do not use an ebb and flow although the table is for one. I use soil but the ebb and flow table is from previous grows. Soil just tastes better to me although veg can take a bit longer. As far as the algae. From my understanding, light hitting your medium aka rockwool or whatever your using plus the water that is in it is what causes algae. The best way to prevent it is to cover you medium with white or black plastic. So just cut some plastic pieces next time like a trash bag or whatever and put it over the top of your medium (at the trunk or base of the plant) this will keep light off your rockwool and keep algae from forming. Thats what I did in the past and it always seemed to work. Hope I explained that ok

You explained it well. Thank you. It is not the pots with the medium it was that tray. That is why when I saw your pearl white tray sitting un covered I got so curious.

Thankx for taking the time to answer and once again, solid grow.

No worries anytime streetrider! When I flush sometimes I get junk in the tray but never seems to be algae. I also take a safe bleach to it once a week and wipe down the tray around the pots. I dilute the bleach with water and apply. Just helps keep the dirt and junk down ya know. Happy holidays man thx for the compliments as well
