Grow Locker / advice

New guy in town and trying to dance with sweet Mary Jane. I have a locker I obtained and have had an urge for awhile now to make it a hydro grow box. Completely new to growing anything. I killed a cactus once as well. That being said I will take any advice you can give. I planned on using a 5 gallon bucket with air stone/pump. I'm not sure about what type of soil or perlite or anything! I have some pics of what I'm gonna be working with and will add more as I progress from advice given here. I have attached some pics of the locker and a bubble bucket set up I plan to make this weekend, the pics of the lights, I plan on using the 3' in the middle of the photo on both sides of the locker parallel with the plant and eventually 2 more on the back of the locker so the plant is surrounded by these 3' T5 lights. Not sure on wattage or lumens I need advice there too. And the picture of the 3 light fixture i plan to hang from chains suspended over the plant and be able to adjust to the appropriate inch distance from the plant as needed and be able to flex the light where it is needed as plant grows. And advice is taken with appreciation I'm new and lost!! Help!

Don't know if you already have ideas for the interior design and not sure on your budget but here's a thought. You could get 4' T5's in the largest bulb quantity that could fit on the two side panels and the back panel. If you wanted to get ambitious you could mount one to the door as well.

Buy 3 or 4 of these (if they fit) with the 2:2 setup and you've got your self 60, 000 lumens. That's triple what I'm growing with now. Anyway, you would have to "train" the plant and tie it so it wouldn't bush out and burn itself on the bulbs. This is just what I would want to do of course.

Don't buy that flex light it's crap and runs way to hot even if it could output anything useful for your plant.

Honestly, go read some books, not being a dick I'm giving you sound advice. The more you read the more you'll understand and the better you'll grow.

Thanks for the feedback, definitely reading alot, to the point to where I read so much I become confused on which way to go. Unfortunately those lights won't fit or I would definitely grab 2. However I figure start with 2 of these T5 3' lamps each contains 2 21 watt bulbs and displays 3800 lumens. I'm trying to learn about the 6500k and the 2700k. Can I buy separate bulbs for those lamps that give me what I need? Do I need a higher watt bulb? Also I can buy another lamp every 2 weeks to keep my wife from seeing several hundred bucks drop from the account in one day. She's a firecracker! Also soil. Which way to go? I'm confused of what I put in the basket and how to germinate and plant a seed for hydroponic systems. Between the thousands of threads I don't know which is correct and the most effective way to go. Also can I have to much of an air pump? Only one available is for up to 30gallons. I read I need 5-15? Correct? I was going to go with foxfarms nutrient trio. I plan go buy lights and air pump tomorrow. Any advice?
