i dont think that light has that option. you would have to make it air cooled yourself. but for that price i wouldnt get it unless it had the option. actually for that price it should come with the adapters to make it aircooled. i would give the place that makes the light a call.

thats not the price its just the first picture i found, it actually only cost about $200 but theres like a hole in the top with vent slits on it but the shiny metal shit inside would have to be taken out for air to rise up through it i wish i could physically show you what im talking about its kind of confusing when im trying to explain in writing, i dont see why it wouldnt work i just want to know how much it would cool it cuz i dont wanna spend money on somthing thats not gonna work properly when i could just get an a/c unit for $50 more

ive been blowing a fan at it and it doesnt cool it down enough, my room can reach up to 92 - 97 on hot days and on average it ranges from 85-89

its an attachment actually for this light but it says not recommened on 400w or greater, so im guess it can be air cooled but why does it say not recommended for 400 watt because on some websites you can by the 400 watt light and this, so idk maybe it doesnt move enough air for a 400 watt one idk

someone let me know

that exhaust would be good for the light but you may need a secondary exhaust for the room.
ive done it with a fan like RR but it seems to even out the whole room with a higher temp.
check the link in my sig. thats what i use for ballasts. and i will be throwing in a cooltube soon, as my temps are rising. here is a pic of the first cooltube i made. will have a better design for next year.


here is an industrial fixture that can be used if your good at modifying stuff. i use these and im happy for now.

i have the sunburst 250 mh and they do run hot being that the ballast is enclosed in the hood, the air cooled kit is the only way to cool those, it is basicly a little box witha fan that mounts on top of the fixture, and there is a piece of glass that goes under the bulb to seal it off

so do you think i can use that for my 400 watt?

ok so i need someones opinion.....
i have a grow tent inside a closet i need to cool it down
so either get a portable a/c cuz i found one for 125 but i dont really have it by any window and i know you have to have the duct outside a window, get the sunburst cooling system for my hydrofarm 400 wtt hps $65, or get an exhaust system using the blower in one of my previous post for $80 .
