As in use it as a terrarium? Roots are not huge fans of light so if you want to watch it it will be detrimental to your yield

not really for yield just to have something else to look at. got a couple of dwc's that im hoping will yield . so yea i guess it would be a terrarium, but for roots. i would set it up dwc style just let it do its thing. now you got me thinking aquaponics and seeing if i could put some fishies in there and watch them swim through roots like it was kelp lol

I'm using a 55 gal. fish tank. I wrapped the tank with white construction paper then black paper on top of that. Doing a DWC aquaponics so I can grow 18 plants using cfls.. Check out my posts. Cool job you got going. I figured I'll use my 10 gal. tank for cloning and germinating. I use another 55 gal. tank for veging and the other for flowering. My guppies fertilizes my plants. I started with gold fish but they got too big and started eating the roots.
You should cover the glass on the tank but have a way so you can pull it back and see the roots when you want to. What strain are you growing?
Happy growing...
