OK. So I have a question for all you fellow CFLers. Have a look at my photo's here. These pics are about 3 days old. Plants are 3 1/2 weeks from breaking soil. I am growing in the cabinet in the photo. Everything looks great as far as progress but I had plans on topping prior to starting LST. As you can see the tops are SO TIGHT that topping is not an option. I moved my lights up to hopefully get the tops to stretch but no stretch to really note in a couple of days. Should I just forget the topping and LST? Strain is Purple Kush (which i have been told are "Squat" plant to start). I Just started Nutes 2 days ago. They will likely need water tomorrow and I plan on starting LST after next watering when the stems are moist and Pliable.

dudei would defintly top your plants. i have 2 plants both in flower and i topped them both. you said u were growing in a cabinet? do u want them to stay short and fat? if so i would defintly top them. when you do you can keep ur lights directly over them and plant wont struggle for light. let your plant grow 5 or 6 nodes then if u want four dominant colas cut at the stem directly above the 2nd true node. if u want two dominant colas cut above the first node. search up UNCLE BENS TOPPPING FOR FOUR COLAS. heres a pic of results

On this plant there are currently 6 nodes however there is NO separation between the top and the second node. Thus my dilema ! Where the hell do I cut it if there is not stem between the top and the second node? Should I just wait for it to stretch a little?
I have no expirience with lst topping. If ur dealer with space issues its a charm. My plants are less than 12 inches and have preflowers n r starting to bud.web u top u have four colas instead of one so the light can gift each one better. U end up with four big drumsticks
Really?kinda hard to judge without seeing it.do u have a pic? Web topping make sure u pick the right node. Web u get the first.set of fan leaves on the plant.which usually have 3 tips that's the first true node. The second.node usually.has a fan leaves with 5 tips. Did day help any?

Hey Freddog, check this pic and you will see what I mean. THis is about 4 days old though. I moved my lights up to make them stretch a bit and it did help. Will have more pics later today after I water and start LST. Thanks for the help Man.

Well topping is the issue at hand actually cause there is nothing to top currently. I started LST today. See pics below.
