Grow Closet ; NEED Input / Advice

So I recently started my first grow in my closet. It's only 6x6x8 (rough guess). So I bought a tent that is just a little smaller than that thinking I can put it in there and use it.... Well - I could use it but the problem I had was ventilation! It built up a lot of heat ! Now this tent is way too big for me to put it in any rooms of this house without the traffic of guests questioning me. So I figure to toss the tent idea.

Now this is my new idea!

Split my room in half top to bottom for one veg and one flowering.
I already drew this out on paper along with a ducting system to support better air flow and a better way to exhaust the heat/old air.

My main grow light is a 600w light. Now this sucker is a lot bigger than I thought but it sure looks cool. I figure to keep this guy for my flowering room.
However ; for my "veg" room. I'm thinking it's not necessary to have a 600w set up. Now correct me if I'm wrong but that was my thought.

So this is where I need help the most ;

What kind of lighting can I use for the BEST price for my Veg room. Now if I need to drop some big $ that's not a problem. CFL, T5 , or whatever! I need ideas!

-------

Also if any of this sounds like I need to change anything , by all means - help!!! :-P:-P

I'm a BIG fan of T5 HO lighting for vegging. No real heat issues, a good even coverage of light, a ton of bulb options (6000k for vegging seems to work for me), doesn't suck up a ton of electricity, quiet, and most importantly.....plants love growing under them.

Craigslist can be your friend when searching for a T5 setup. I got a 4' four-bulb for $50. I got my 2' four bulb lights from Home Depot, and they have a great price on a four footer. Free delivery doesn't hurt either.

Well today I've decided that it's best and stress free just to have one room at a time until I rig another room or a small box for vegging.

TODAY I've achieved A LOT!

I gutted & cleaned the room. I plan on only using one light set up and this will be my 600w light with a scrub system + air ducting / exhaust set up.
I had fun this morning climbing in my attic and cutting a hole in the ceiling for a proper exhaust system.

Now this is something I'm trying to figure out to HELP the "cooling" .. The room doesn't really ever get over 100F so I guess it's not so bad. But that was
with the tent w/ not having a proper exhaust system. I'm only assuming now with the exhaust properly leaving the room / house it should be a little bit cooler than before..

But I'd love to get it cooler than this ! How would I go about this with out purchasing a small air unit?

Big ups boss!

Thanks for the input!

I keep forgetting about the useful ' Craigslist ' . I need to find some big rain barrels to get some of that fresh water :) But never thought about that T5!

As long as you have a big enough exhaust with fans blowing up and across the bulb towards the exhaust fan you should be good. Do a test run and see how ur temps and humidity are

Tempts are no higher than 95 , humidity are ? because I don't have a stat for it.

I should buy a digital thermostat that displays all the goodies!

I already live in a very humid area and hot. So without running my house AC like crazy - I guess I'm happy to keep it under 100F in that room.

I see that people grow with success under 100F no matter what. But I guess strains have a lot to do with this..

NOW about the grow room. The walls are white - will this be enough to reflect the light? OR should I still get mylar?
