Grow cameras

I have 4 blink cameras, they haven’t given me a problem before, newest ones have a place for a usb so you can skip the subscription when it comes time. I lucked out and bought before all that came in.

Might check if the ring camera law applies to blink. Law enforcement in US doesn’t need a warrant for ring video, total bs
At least that’s what I heard

What can those cameras do if you're gone? Is everything else automated so that you can do things remotely?

I could see setting up a time lapse, been thinking of doing that for awhile now, just don’t have money lying around, wish I did

I'm thinking about a basic dumb camera on my local network. Wasn't sure how infrared most fancy ones have for night vision goes during lights out

I was also worried about this and done a lot of Google kung-fu and everyone said they had no issues after many grows. Also here's an article from reolink about it https://reolink.com/blog/does-security-camera-infrared-light-harm-plants/

Almost ready to chop my second grow with cameras installed, and no issues with the plants.

For thanksgivings I went out of town and used a camera under my pots (they’re lifted up on a wire rack). I paired that with a drip system with a pump on a smart plug. Once I saw a water dripping out I turned off the pump.

I did have a nagging fear that the pump would turn on and vibrate the smart plug to somehow fall into a puddle of water which somehow caught the room on fire and I would have to just watch it unfold helplessly on the camera. But no it worked fine. So anyways Wyze camera is good.

Is there anything you don't complain about?
No

Yes

Maybe

Why do you care?

My post was a question relevant to the topic.

Your post was just complaining about me complaining even though I wasn't complaining.

Some growers do have automation that they can control remotely. Maybe you with all your divine wisdom can answer the question/complaint I asked.

"What can those cameras do if you're gone? Is everything else automated so that you can do things remotely?"

Thinking about the question further, I guess you could have someone , a friend, neighbor, etc... deal with your plants. I just answered one of my questions. You could have done the same but chose not to.
