Grow cabinets made of wood? Drying -> fire hazard??

Hey folks

Im currently designing a grow cabinet. I read on another post awhile ago that ones made of wood tend to dry out which could lead to a fire hazard?

I was just wondering if this is true and whether I should just use a metal cabinet.

ive used wood for a few years and been ok, cant be worse than a grow tent.

mine is wood been using it for 10 yrs now, there is lots of humidity going on in there, not going to dry out like you would think.

Mine was made out of particle board and it never caught fire.

also it should never ever get hot enough to catch fire. anything over 105 and all the plants will be dead

interesting thread : iam running about 725 watts inside of a box and i maintain about 78.5 it goes up a little as the humidity disapates i'll try to attach a pic if not its on my profile please let me know what you think

I used MDF and I love it. 2 x 2 frame construction with a hinged door and holes for ventilation and wiring. I love it.

It's actually pretty hard to start a fire with wood, am I wrong? I mean, you wouldn't be able to start a bonfire just by lighting a log on fire and setting it on some other wood. It shouldn't be hot enough in your grow area to start a fire, most types of wood ignite at between 190-260 degrees.
