grow cabinet help

Ok, so I'm new to growing as well as this site.
My plan is to use a pre-built cabinet with the dimensions of approximately: h-6ft w-2ft d-1.5ft.
it has 2 shelves, one of which i will be removing, about 1.5 ft from the top and bottom.

I will be covering the whole inside with mylar. (and maybe some sort of waterproofing?)
What i need help with is where to place fans, lights, etc and also which ones to buy. I have a budget of somewhere around $300? I also have access to commercial carbon filters if need be.
I want to make it light proof and smell proof, as much as possible. It's in an apartment so this is vital.
I wont be able to start on the cabinet until about 2 weeks from now, but the ideas will be much appreciated.

I'm planning on putting in an inline fan and an exhaust fan. More than 1 if necessary.
As for growing style, I hear that soil is best for beginners, but i would be up for trying hydroponic.
I think i might leave the top shelf for flowering, if you think its big enough.

Hi there
i would recommend you buy a grow kit, Led for a beginner they come to about £100 or less
soil, any soil is good especially seed starter, also buy some perlite mixed in about %70(soil)/30(perlite)%
and square pots not round ones

strains ofc, i would recommend picknmixseeds.com, they have a range of strains
i would recommend 'papaya' £46 somthing for 10 seeds but they are feminised

anymore questions just pm me

The first thing you should worry about is where you are going to exhaust your old hot air too.....cant just exhaust it back into your room so once you figure that out then you can move on but if you dont do that then it all will be a waste of time....unless its freezing cold in your room you will be fucked
