Grow Box

I have look but cannot find the dimensions of your box, and the dimensions of each chamber?
I am designing a box now and like your set up! I am think of a 3'x3'x4'T flower area and a the same size Mother and clone area.
I like how you did the upper shelf for the electronics.
Lighting I am thinking of 8 to 10 - 26 watt daylight CFL"s (6500 lumen) under an adjustable reflector with 5 adjustable hanging bulbs. Box totally lined with Mylar.
Thinking ebb and flow or aeroponics SOG with up to 15 plants.
Any thoughts anyone?

The rooms are 2x2x3 Both the same size. And the set-up your thinking of sounds like it will work well! i might goto hydro after i get the box settled and running smoothly.

Well its been a little while since i posted some pictures of the progress so heres where i am at now.

You roll your toilet paper wrong, should spool from the top, LOL.
The density of the last pic, is not like the density of the flowering plants, is that a lite problem?

Thnx for the bathroom tip:P ahah ill keep that in mind. And when you say the density of the last pic..witch picture are you talking about. The literal last picture is just of a clone i took before the plants went into flower so its only about a week old.

good stuff looks like your grow is going good

Thank you. 2 of the plants seem to be doing very well the taller 2 seem to be a little bit slower.

Newbie here so comment and question. First, that looks great. I hope that what I have getting started is that successful. Question: I've seen opinions that stated some big vegetative leaves should be removed to help with the flowering yield. I'm curious if you plan to do that and if you and others here think that is a good idea? Oh, and I'm told that the TP loads the other way by my other half all the time. ;-)

very very nice thats the way t do it in confined spaces.

Thank you this is my first time in a box im used to outdoor growing, I had a couple mishaps of some leaves getting to close to lights but no major dmg :D

loving the grow keep it up and nice grow light hood!

Thank you, was fairly easy to make the hoods but i wanna get some stronger aluminium to make them more stable, those 400 watt cfls are super heavy lol

I have heard allot of people do this..IMO the fan leaves are what bring in the light and oxygen into the plant not just the roots. So i can see how people say that in the last week or so if you strip the plant all the energy and growth gos to the bud but at that same time your taking allot of the plants ability to pull in energy. I wait till my plants are ready to be harvested then night before i will go in strip the leaves the next morning i chop em down, and thats just so i dont have to do so much work all at once. (as i said above im used to outdoor and more plants at once, doing 4 small plants i will prob just do all the trimming at one time)

Sorry for the absence i have recently just moved and havent had the internet..Brutal lol

anyway's this is pretty much though week 6, Clones have been taken, plants are in flower, and i made new light hoods!

Bad news is since i have been in the middle of moving i havent had my nut's and such available. so the plants have missed there first flower feeding and they are a bit upset for sure. Im sure the move its self didnt help.

That is aluminium, and i purchased it by roll at home depot. I used the valley aluminium for roofing comes in 18" x 10' rolls for around 15$. and the hoods can be sized to anything ( maybe have to add some double folds for strength on bigger sizes) both mine are different sizes, The flowering hood is much larger then the veg hood.

what did you use for fasteners? rivets?

i did and allot of them at that! You could use anything really, but for me i have a rivet gun / rivets in my tool kit for work so it was just available. If i was actually at work (sheet metal worker) i would have had access to the metal break and i could have made them out of one piece and seamless, but unfortunately chemical plants dont let materials on and off site therefore i had to keep them super simple to bend up as i have to use hand seamers and a square.

you can use a pair of these

instead of a break...they work alright. i have used them doing aluminum flashing when i did vinyl siding.

the aluminum roll you bought is naturally that reflective or sis you use mylar or anything...seems like a great way to make some DIY hoods.

Those are hand seamers (also known as a hand break i have a 10" bill on mine those are 3") very useful, but most of my bends were longer then 10" even. Natural aluminum color didnt have to do anything to it. I tried to keep the bends to a minimum also.

So The flower time on the widow is 8-9 weeks which is 56-63 days. 60 Days will be Feb.12 I am going to start flushing chems Next Tues. the hairs havent started to curl yet but they are still 3 weeks out.
