Grow Box questions

Ok, 1st thanks to all the people here who have been giving me info to make my grow work. I've also been convinced to build a grow box. I'm going to look around for an old wardrobe or 5 drawer dresser and put a door on it.

Where can I find a decent little 4" blower/fan on a budget that won't make a ton of noise?

i just started planting the seeds and i was woundering if there is any thing i can do to help the growing proses

If you tell me everything you have done and is involved I will try to share my limited knowlege, but i'm sure the more advanced people in these forums could provide alot more help. I've been picking brains for a couple of weeks here and my 1st grow went to shit. But I know im on the right track now.

do you mean a cage fan? or a large computer fan? how many cfm are you trying to get?

I want to be able to push a active carbon filter that can kill the smell for 2 plants at the max, roughly 6'x 3 1/2' x 20" H x W x Deep, I'm growing in an apartment and I'm planning on useing a box about the size of a wardrobe closet.

i have a 400w hps with a 450cfm fan pulling through a carbon filter in a box about the same size...

I use a 115v fan from radioshack ($15-20) for my carbon filter and it works just beautifuly... My room is a lot bigger than yours.

I juat found a really cheap (quality) particleboard wardrobe 47-1/2W x 20-1/4D at BigLots, would this be ok for a grow box or should I just build one? I'm kind hopeing to not wrestle a heavy wood growbox up to the 3rd floor.

depends how cheap that one is

you could always dismantle it and take up flat...

i think if you can rig up a little box and put a honneywell fan from W@lmart you shoud be able to get plenty of flow for the carbon filter and the fan will be at like $15

hello I have a 4' fem that is taking 4 ever to bud I need some info to see about how much longer is this thing going to take
