Grow box Question

I am looking to upgrade my rubbermaid stealth box and make a wardrobe stealth cabinet. Here is the cabinet I was looking at http://www.sauder.com/furniture/product.asp?p=958 .

Now when I went to the store to look at it there was about a 1/16th gap around the doors. Is that easy to seal up? Also is it possible to screw in a piece of plywood on the back since they use the crappy cardboard backing?

I have it in my head what it should look like but I don't want to spend the money unless it will work out. One side will be for growing and the small cabinet space would be for the mother plant and clones. I am hoping this will work out.

You can do anything to that cabinet, as long as your craftman's skills are up there, but replacing the back and filling the gaps wouldn't be too hard, just might take some time. Looks like a good grow cabinet, good luck

What would I get to seal the cracks up around the doors? Also light wise would I still be able to get away with CFL's or would I have to upgrade the lights?
