Grow and Winemaking Room

Could growing MJ and wine making co-exist in the same room?

My wine making room contains all my winemaking utensils and additives. It is temperature-controlled, humidity-controlled, contains a high-quality active air purifier, and is completely dark inside, unless I'm in there (all these variables are perfectly compatible with growing MJ). Also, it contains 15-25 gallons of wine that is fermenting/aging. One clear benefit is the carbon dioxide given off by the wine during fermentation.

But fermenting wine sometimes attracts fruit flies. And sometimes mold develops in the wine, especially during early fermentation. This is the the reason for the active air purifier.

Anyway, based on this, should I use a different room for growing MJ?

I can't see a problem. Fruit flies won't bother the plants. The CO2 from the wine would help the plants. The mold, I don't know, but you have mold spores around anywhere. Even in a so called hospital setting you have stuff flying around. The only thing I would worry about is the temp in the room for the wine fermentation. My room averages 75-80 F. Might be a bit warm for the wine. Give it a try. My father makes about 90 gal. of good Dago red every year and I had thought about the same experiment myself.

Sounds like the perfect growing area to me. The thought of a j and a glass of wine together has my mouth watering.:weed:

Good luck with it.
