Picked up clones from an MMJ clinic in the valley in So Cal, both clones from reputed genetics found online; very stable phenos. Planted in my hempy buckets on 6/10/2016. Here follows what has occurred thus far.

Day 1 - planted clones 6/10/16 in 100% Miracle Grow Perlite hempy buckets, 2 gallon pots 11" tall, 5" wide. Both were in rockwool....not my fav, but i can do. SLH was 4" and Kandy Kush was 5". Started under Mars 300w panel in a 3'x3'x6' tent from Apollo. No nutes. Plants slightly shocked so I rinsed the perlite. Problem solved. After 3 days, introduced nutes (Miracle Grow tomato feed 18-18-21), at only 1/4 tsp, SLH loved it, Kandy did not; burnt tips, but very slight, and only on one lower leaf. Day temps 80 F and humidity 50%, night 74 F humidity 80% (fan off). Flushed, cut nutes in half, problem solved. Ph is 5.9, lights 16.5 hr on and 7.5 hr off, light distance 24", run off ph 6.2 - 6.7

Day 14- Added Mars 600w panel. Added out take fan, brought temps down.
Nutes reintroduced at slightly higher strength (1/2 tsp), plants thriving. Temps at 90 F, humidity 47%...heat wave. Both lights at 24-26", 300w angled for more direct light. Appears both plants may have hit the rez, as leaf size increased dramatically as compared to last couple of days, especially on the SLH. Both plants still only producing 3 fingered leaves

Day 18- SLH was 8" and Kandy Kush was 10". Topped both plants. SLH now 6" and Kandy Kush 7". Flushed, and then gave 1/4 strength nutes. temps 90 F at peak and 42% humidity. For now, opening front of tent and aiming fan at the lights, which are at 26-28", fan now on at night- night temps 73 F, humidity 70 %, run off ph 5.83, removed lowest growth below 2" on each plant as well.

Day 19- Temps 89 F humidity 39%, lights at 24", did not feed

Day 20 - Fed 1/2 strength (full small scoop= 1 tsp), ph 6.2, temps are 89 F, humidity 51%

Day 21- Fed same as yesterday at around 10am. PH 6.2, run off is 6.3, temps 88 F humidity 48%. Kandy is creating new growth quickly and filling in, while growing vertically at a moderate pace. The Lemon is not growing vertically so much, nor filling in as quickly like the Kandy, but her leaves are getting much, much bigger! It appears I have the quickly-blossoming indica dominate phenotype of Kandy Kush, as her leaf structure and growth rate points to this. The Lemon's leaves are definitely more sativa in shape. The Kandy is extremely odorous to the touch. The Kandy is also producing non-serrated leaves on the outside leaves of some three-fingered leaves, and is even producing 4-fingered leaves. Additionally, I found one "hook-like" leaf in one of the leaves of newest growth on Kandy...broad mites? Definitely keeping an eye open. I chopped off the growth with hook leaf, as this part of the plant is not quite as bushy anyways. I am sure the topping will fill it in. Around 10pm, I tilted both pots and the Lemon appeared to be dry, while the Kandy did appear to still have very little water in the rez. I fed both just enough to fill the rez, will check before tomorrows feeding, if needed.

Day 22- Confirmed- both girls have hit the rez, there was no water left in either pot at 7am, so that means both plants drank up the rez in 15 hours or less. These pots do have a small rez, only 30 inches cubed, 2"x5"x3". Fed with slightly above 1/2 strength (1 1/2 tsp scoop), ph 6.2, Kandy has grown vertically a little since topping, as well as filling in with vigor. Lemon continues to increase leaf size, as well as filling in with vigor, just not as bushy as the Kandy. Lemon vertical growth minimal. Temps 89 F, humidity 39%

Day 23- Fed in am, temps 88 F, humidity 47%, fed in pm, temps 86 F, humidity 40%, ph 5.8

Day 24- Fed in am, Kandy rez almost empty, Lemon rez empty completely, ph 6. Temps at 83 F, humidity 46% (night temps are 76 F, humidity 72%). Fed again at 11pm, both rez were completely empty. Feeding now every 12-14 hours! ph 6, temps 85 F, humidity 40% for 11pm feeding.

Day 25- Temps 87 F, humidity 42%, fed ph 6 in am. Lifted 600w to 26", 300w is still angled and at 24". SLH is filling in wonderfully, as well as continuing to increase leaf size. Beginning to show 5 - fingered leaves. Kandy continues to grow taller as well as filling in wonderfully, both plants showing NO signs of any deficiency. Added one cap full/ 1 gallon of hydrogen peroxide to assist in root health, ph is at 6.1 for 11pm feeding.

Now for the eye-candy :)

Light set-up:

Mars 300w angled at 24", Mars 600w at 26"

Kandy at Day 22-

Super Lemon Haze at 22 days-

So a little background...this is my 5th grow attempt. My first three were successful, the fourth was a disaster, and it was from that grow I learned the most.

I use MMJ for insomnia and depression I suffer from bipolar disorder. My brother and mother both suffer from the same, and my mom also has a blood disorder called MDS that she is on SSDI for. This is why I grow, to take care of my loved ones. Since my mom started MMJ, she has had to have less and less blood transfusions. She prefers edibles, so any good recipes are welcome :).

I don't know much, but what I do I love to share...that's why I'm here ;) and I love to learn, so any suggestions are very welcome. Peace y'all (yup, I say"y'all"), happy toking.
