Greetings All,

This is my first attempt at growing. Bottom line I am tired of smoking BS ditch weed from people referring to the bud that we can get as "R2" WTF is R2...anyway i am fed up with the crap smoke...so this is my story of my plant named "Sue"...some would ask why "Sue"..well simple if its a girl Yay for me...and if its a boy...well we all know the Johnny Cash song...and I guess Dad will win this time...hahaha..anyway just starting my little thread/journal..and I am open to any tips.

So now back to Sue...she started off in a bag of bud that I got from a buddy there was a rogue seed, so as a lark i said well i will germinate and see whats happens...and it sprouted..I put it into a dixie cup with some kind of soil and it kept growing. So i took it out of there and then into a big pot that i had an aloe vera growing in. I have now did the calculation..and please don't poop on my for this but the soil was 14yrs old and the aloe had died in it..regardless it kept growing so i did a little reading and now I am at this stage. I bought some Miracle grow 14-14-14 flowering soil, and a new pot, I cleaned the pot and prepped Sue for transplant. Transplant complete. I bought 2 Philips 6500K lights and they are in the tanning bed. I also used some window shades that I had at the shop both for reflective purposes and insulation purposes. I also have some miracle grow flowering plant food..I am using it every Monday and then watering with plain water on a daily basis. I have a 24 inch fan ..for now..running on low to keep the air moving in my closet. So all this being said this is all taking place in Canada where today it is -23 with the windchill...so any positive warmth vibes anyone can send that would be much appreciated. So bottom line I figure if it grows and is a female and i smoke 2 js off it I am ahead....regardless i am proving i can do it before i invest in some legit seeds.

Cheers
Curly

Congrats on your first grow.
I am still a noob myself but can share somethings I have already learned with my grows.
It is kinda stretchy, When you replant next time, plant it deeper up to the first set of leaves (the first round ones that pop out first, sorry forgot how to spell them) keep the light as close to them as possible to reduce it from stretching to the light. Make sure the fan is blowing over the plant, this will help make the stem stronger so it can hold its own weight down the road.
Make sure you don't over water, only water when the top 1"-2" are dry, better yet water based on when the pot feels light. Pick up your container everyday, soon you will learn when it needs water just by the weight.
Make sure you have good drainage holes in the bottom of your container.
Remember some perlite in the soil will be your friend.
Good luck and remember everything you did along the way.... there are many great people here that will help you out if you can give them as much as you can on your growing conditions so they can give you sound advice.

Greetings,
Yes i read about re-planting deeper..I guess first mistake but i will re-correct when it goes into the big pot. Now what about the light at 24/7 ? and when should I start a 12/12? or any other light regulation?

On the light schedule... you will get mixed reviews on this. They both will work just fine for you, I have ran a 18/6 and now I am on a 24hr light schedule myself, and both seem to be the same to me.
As for when to go to 12/12???? well you need to figure out how big you want the finished plant? How much room and lighting do you have?
Just remember that the plant will stretch 2-3 times the size it is when you flip to 12/12. So if the plant is 12" when you flip to 12/12 it "Can" stretch to 2'-3' when its done flowering.
Just make sure when you flip to 12/12 that you have 12 hours of COMPLETE darkness.... NO light leaks!!!

Unfortunately it looks like you have had the lights to far away. They seem close in the picture did you just recently move them.

a plant that young dose not need nutrients. That slight yellowing i belive is from overwatering. Your soil lood pretty dam wet. the little plant cant drink all that water because the pot is so large. Large pots are good but water only little amounts as seedling. Larger plants need more water so as it gets large water with more volume

Also do you have a drainage hole cut into that folders can

Anyway I strongly urge you to transplant your little buddy. When you transplant bury it up to the first set of leafs. Move the light 1-2 inches from the top of the plant

Greetings,

The lights are about 2 inches away, there is multiple holes in the bottom of the can, and transplant...I did it on my birthday dec 31...any issues with transplanting again soo soon?

The stem is to tall and spindly it could fall over and die

you can reuse the same pot and dirt just bury the stem so only the leafs are above the soil
