Yeah it seems nice. Loving the smell it's getting as it cures more. Skunky with a sharp piney smell after rubbing. The seeds are all over though. Copper Chem has been the only standout to me from Greenpoint. Tried the Chem Daiquiri, Sundance Kid, Grape Punch and then this. Sundance Kid was decent too. Had one pheno that made my heart rate increase a bit.
Just entering the final couple of weeks with a few Sundance Kids so that's good to read.

Still have a pack of Copper Chem. Also have Stardawg and Western Grail. Had a full blown Cowboy Kush herm as well, which was a bummer because it seemed like it had potential. Grape Punch was absolute trash. The seeds are cheap for a reason I guess. Will revisit Copper Chem in the future but iffy about the rest.

The older Stardawg cross's were pretty good, with some true gems to be found. I had good luck with Gunslinger, Purple Badlands and Cookies and Chem among others. Raindance had some great chem expressions as well, I actually preferred it over Copper Chem. Never ran into hermies from the regs.

It was a completely different story when fems were offered, I had awful luck with the Purple Punch cross's and the ECSD S1's that I tried and I haven't been back since. The seeds might be cheap, but wasting months was not.

Damn it really is touch and go with all these great sounding crosses that bring heartache. Copperchem seems awesome I’m glad you got something from them you like after all that. Think I will only run gps seed in a small area if at all now.

Any of y’all got older gp packs you don’t want, send em my way. The older the better, looking for his tresdawg x stardawg he released long ago.

Yup, I've run gunslinger, copper chem and Raindance. Rd and gunslinger were my favorites, both super loud. The chem was good, but i preferred the others. Currently have a raindance, gunslinger, and night rider in veg.

I think we all know went wrong with the fems...:bigjoint:

Grow/Smoke Report on Dubstep:

My pheno was a vigorous grower, lanky and floppy stems that had to be staked. Could see a lot of OG in the growth structure and characteristics. Buds grew nice and dense. Yield was slightly lower than average for me considering the extended veg time compared to past grows. Prob has a lot to do with it herming in mid flower.

Smell of buds is skunky and sweet. Rich, earthy sweetness. Taste is the same with more pronounced skunkyness and heavy pine. The pine is very nice and my favorite flavor from the smoke. Very smooth as well.

Buzz is initially very strong in the head. Nice feeling. Uplifting and chill. It does have a heavy back end though, so moreso for late afternoons. Can smoke it throughout the day though in smaller doses.

On a 0-10 scale, I'd rate the growth and plant structure a 6.5 as the floppiness was a bit annoying, 6.5 on smell, 7 on taste (8 for the extra piney buds), 8 for the buzz and 7.5 overall. I do like the OG-like buzz and think it would be worth finding a stable pheno that doesn't herm... stronger stems as well. Could see this pairing well with Bubba.

Spent the last couple of weeks buying up a shitload of Greenpoint seeds and now I'm suddenly seeing these negative reviews about plants going hermaphrodite. Has something recently changed? Are there widespread issues or just some isolated problems?

Few people saying the quality has gone downhill. Gu claims he still uses the same Stardawg male but I'm not sure I believe it. I grew out Cake n Chem a couple years ago and everybody loved it.

Best thing to do is grow out a couple packs and see for yourself.

Yeah this. For anyone looking to buy, recognise this company has had gross issues with stability across their fems....for years. We all know the Heisenberg drama and its still continuing.

Stick to regs.

Here are a few of my Dubstep. Can't remember the particulars of the smoke, but I know that I'll be running it again. I've run dozens and dozens of GPs strains over the years and never had a hermie. The only issue was the time that Gu got fleeced with those S1s. I've run just about every Punch cross from them. Never a bad turnout, no herms, no junk. The only thing that I am not impressed with is the many phenos. I am not a pheno hunter. It's cool to discover a special plant here and there but I've gotten used to IBLs and other strains that have been worked for a few generations. I've moved on to the Animal Crosses now. Tried a few, all good. I've got hundreds of strains in my collection so one of my 3 tents usually has some Greenpoint, always a good yield of dry-sift. Hydro or OLS, I've always had good luck with their genetics, even if they haven't won any awards.
