GreenPoint Seeds Test Grow: Rugburn OG x Monster Cookies

So I topped one plant and lollipoped its 1st node off, now I have 4 branches. I kept the top for a nice clone. I then realized, after I took out the second girl, that the plants needed uppotting...

the lowest nodes were all drying up and starting to show the slightest hints of deficiencies....my soil won't be ready for 2 weeks....
I said some choice words and have decided to hold off topping the rest.

I will be transplanting to 3 gallon trash can Hempys tmrw as per my original plan lol. They will be 100% perlite.

I will wait 3-4 days before I transplant the one I topped already, and will be taking clones/lollipoping the ones I will transplant tmrw then maybe a bit of LST then throw them into flower....this does work in my favor because I'm almost out of ganja

are they trichomes all over the leaves? Looking great if so
Also, dunno if you've done just perlite before, but ime they fucking love it . I'd say after straight coco it's my fave medium actually

Nice, and yeah there are! All of them smell super dank btw...slightly skunky...I actually have some coir leftover from making the soil and was considering making 1 with perlite above the res, then coir/perlite then coir...I didn't know if there were any special considerations I should make when using coir as opposed to just perlite

only special consideration I can think of would be that they tend to require a bit more calmag, particularly during flower. Have you tried blumats?

Quick update, uppotted, which was desperately needed. Made an ACT and watered them in to their new homes. Hopefully they enjoy it

What size they in now Vit? They're looking really nice. Wish I'd grabbed a couple of the MC crosses now.

gutted, didnt get on Gu~`s tester list either, got the email early this morning. So I'll prob be buying a few instead lol. At least 2 I think. Hopefully an og kush - Tahoe would be awesome, Green Crack, Gorilla Grape Gush and the Gorilla Glue if there's any left but I imagine there won't be. Bruce Banner would also be wicked. Hell any of them would be great but the above would be my list I think. Hopefully will get in on the Polar bear X testers lol

Hey man, went to 3 gallon smart pot and left about 3 inches. I plan to top dress with my thermal compost and add shredded leaves as a mulch for a fungal dominant environment, or so I hope, for flower. The three untopped ones are 9-10 inches tall and the topped one is about 7"...they are all about 10-11 inches wide though lol. I want to train them but they are already so wide and I need them to start growing UP, but I don't believe they will stretch much if at all after seeing their veg and seeing how indica dominant they look...idk, I haven't really found an answer to that problem in my research, any tips?

I will be looking to purchase the GG4 , greencrack, og(Tahoe cut), and one other, maybe the nightmare or Catpiss or BB...stardawg is a sativa leaner so I have read and the GG4, og, and greencrack will add to that but I want a really heavy indica to hopefully get the best of both worlds. I was disappointed because I am one of the few journals I have seen online for his stuff, but I didn't get chosen....oh well, I also look forward to the polar bear testers!

tips for getting them to grow up as opposed to outwards? hmm other than raising the light a bit its a tough one, mainly genetics for sure.
They may well stretch quite a bit with the cookies side..dunno anything about rugburn og really.

Yea I think it's gonna be tough to get any GG#4..it seems everyone's after some lol. Those first 3 are def on my list. Yea I was gonna run whatever he gave me this go in vert with 600. Gonna chuck a couple wifi OG and Jedi OG in instead. If I do manage to get any in the sale I'll run them next round..gives them some time to veg up a bit etc anyway. I like that the stardawg's a Sativa..reckon mosta the crosses will go great with a vert scrog. Do like to have something indica dominant too though for sleep aid. Tahoe's meant to be pretty coma inducing from what I've read..

That sounds great, yeah I will be cutting clones and running this same strain once I am done this first time. I will either keep one of the cuts going or just start a whole new set or do multiple strains...I have so many seeds lol I don't know what to do! I still have a OG kush from dinafem and bubble gum beside the grape gushxmc, bb4xmc, spiderbitexmc, yetixmc, and 5 more Rugburn ogxmc, but I don't think too many seeds is a problem lol, I like trying new things, and I will have the stardawg

Haha too many seeds!? Envious much lol I never have any more than what I'm running next really..yeti and grape gush are both awesome looking. Would be running them for sure. Yea its always exciting popping new beans..seeing what comes out at the end etc

Lol I have a bad habit of window shopping when it comes to genetics, not a bad thing I guess, it keeps me from becoming bored lol

yea I can see that'd happen lol. I have a ridiculous wish list. I should put aside money for the rare once off ones that come up every so often. Partly due to customs being a bitch to get past I don't buy that often. However there are no other options (like dispensaries etc) so it's the only way.

Yeah, that's why I have all the MC crosses lol, I don't have access just like we spoke about earlier and so I only have 2 strains from Herbies, the non MC crosses lol. I agree about the customs thing. I should have gone and bough from seedvaultofcalifornia because GU was offering oak of whatever you anted stardawg cross but like an idiot I waited for the non-selection email :/

How long has re-vegging taken for you in the past? I've always had stuff in flower already so not really paid attention..this time I'm waiting on them re-vegging so I can take cuts to veg to flower lol..might be easier/quicker to just order something new!

Yeah that's what I have now in my space, it's the 100 tds or whatever. I use insulated ducting and it's in my closet. If the closet door is open its loud enough to be heard in the same room but you can't hear it in the other room so it's pretty nice I guess.

I haven't tried revegging yet, I have always just taken a clone right before flower lol. You could just run a 2 liter SOG no veg...I tried it with two strains and you really need a strain that wants to grow a single massive cola like the Strawberry Blue I had. I tried it with Deep Cheese and that thing sucked for SOG, it was all bushy and outgrowing it's space...but yeah, just take cuts and run them Hempy style in SOG and with a strain that likes it easy half O per, you could do 2-3 per sq foot, you don't really need penetration with your light, and as soon as they root you go to flower? It's nice, but def for cash crop/commercial lol.

I would keep doing the reveg and you could always grab some seeds and run them 12/12 from germ and when you top them early you just clone that top and you are gravy

So the closet door has to be open even to hear it? The fan I have at the moment is ridiculous. Broken for sure. The motor noise is enough I can hear it through the wall lol. I'm gonna get the td-200s for a 1.2m2 tent with 600-1200w with the idea it'll be upgradable to the 1.2m x 2.4 meter with 2kw-3.2kw(either 2x 1kw or 2 x 1k + 2x 600w). Hoping it'll be strong enough. Not hugely worried about noise after all the reviews I've read - I'll be using insulated ducting and a silencer and making a insulated box for the fan too if necessary.

Yea I took cuts just before flower but the mister in my cloner fuhked out lol. So lost all of them.
I have a few freebies actually. 7 all up: 1 Burmese Kush, 2 THSeeds Wreckage, 2 THSeeds Skunkage and 2 Hazeman's P.O.W seeds. So I guess I'll pop them now. No amazing genes but better than nothing. I've been meaning to setup a separate vegging area for clones and mothers anyway so this is just some motivation to do it lol.

I had created a DIY cloner with water and an air pump/stone but I got rot and switched to rapid rooters which works well. I use a cheap cloning agent powder from Lowes which speeds up the process a bit but just keep them moist and 2 weeks you got roots lol...I have heard good things about TH seeds so hopefully that goes well for ya!

Supercropped the top right and bottom left just let the topped one chill and did a bit of LST to the top left one. I will be flipping them on Sunday! Still deciding if I want to do the SIP trays or not, idk. I will be trimming off some of the undergrowth for clones from each one, except for the one I topped I already have a potential clone from that one

Yea I bought a pond mister - for a fountain kinda thing, and shoved it in a box with a lid and it was getting roots in a week. I think the mister must have become blocked because it stopped working.
Might just get another because it was only $20..beats dropping hundreds on a cloner.
