I tried megacrop one part but there was too much sludge didn't dissolve, I left some soaking in water for weeks but it still didn't dissolve so I stopped using it for a cleaner option.

how long ago was this? might have been some issue with it, I would have recommended to contact customer service for a replacement.

Also we have the new free trial now you can test again for no cost.

I have been running the 1 part for 5 yrs now It does take some stirring to get it dissolved but it does dissolve Have seen a few people talk about sludge I have not seen that I go thur 4lb sack every 3 months There was a batch a yr or so ago that had hard chunks in it an very hard to dissolve that might be the batch people are having problems with.

Yes, there was one "bad batch" a year ago, what happened was it wasn't sealed quick enough and excess moisture got in and caused it to clump before they were sealed at our production facility. This happened in a small % of the bags on this production date. We offered anyone who had one of these bags a free replacement because of the solubility issue.

I got one of those too. It was all clumpy but most of it disolved quick. You would get some tiny white flakes and after awhile some stuff would settle at the bottom, i actualy thought it maybe silica sand in the product. It actualy still worked very well, so i was happy for my uses. Might of been a issue for people who used drip lines though. But for me worked great in soil and modifyied hempy pots.

Posting the latest heavy metal testing results now here. We have never had any issues in 13 years (since our founding) of Heavy Metal issues, the main reasons being
  1. Hydroponic/Mineral/Synthetic fertilizer are simply not likely vector for contamination with heavy metals. If you know how heavy metals work, they are most likely to be found in corrupted water supplies, soil/media or accumulated by animals on the food chain and from animal products fertilizers. So dry, hydroponic type fertilizers that don’t use any animal products, are an exceptionally low risk of contamination
  2. We source all of our raw materials from the most reputable and biggest companies in the world, and are government regulated and have impeccable track records. These factories costs $10’s of millions of dollars to start, and take production very seriously. Also as mentioned, heavy metal contamination is not really an issue if you know how these fertilizers are products, and there is continuous testing all along the way for contaminants. The Haber process for example literally gets Nitrogen from the atmosphere.
Anyways, for those concerned, we had another result produced last week from a 3rd party accredited lab that specializes in this, and the results are here and all passing with flying colors.

If you don’t know how to read these, here is how it works. Mega Crop has 7% P2O5, and for every 1% the acceptable limits are as follows
View attachment 5291254

So for example, acceptable Arsenic levels would be 13x7, = 91ppm. Mega Crop had 0.3ppm, which is 300x below. Mercury was essentially below detection limits, and Lead was 0.062ppm, acceptable level would be 61x7 = 427. So Mega Crop levels was nearly 7000x below acceptable legal thresholds.
tl;dr dry Hydroponic/Synthetic nutrients in general are a low risk for metal contamination, we ran another test at 3rd party lab last week and results again confirm this to be the case.
Hi Mr Greenleaf, I have a question regarding the two part nutes. I’m wondering the correct way I should use the two part nutes with the sweet candy, sea k and bud explosion? There’s some info but it’s with the one part.

The 2 part are a stand-alone combo, however the other products can be used if needed
Sweet Candy: provides organics + added PK
Sea K: Kelp extract can benefit the plant the whole lifecycle. The 2 Part already does include Kelp extract, you can increase it
Bud Explosion: PK boost with 0 Nitrogen.

So might I be better off using the one part nutes if I want to use the other additives? A simple two part nutrient does sound appealing but I guess I’m just used to multiple products. Funny since I e tried to use a less is more approach. What if like in the 3rd and 4th week I ran just part B at normal rate and bud explosion at the rate of part A? Would that be doable u think? And then 6th to finish part B and sweet candy? That’s what I was thinking but figured I’d run it by the people makin the stuff since I can which is awesome thanks

No.
You mix your a+b so it's 1.2 ec (or less) then add the sweet candy at the rate indicated on the package

what would be the goal in doing so? The Part A + Part B are meant to be used together as a 2-Part product.

The Bud Explosion/Sweet Candy can be used as a PK boost during flowering if you want a 0 Nitrogen boost, but that would be more for advanced growers who have specific PPM targets they want to hit of individual nutrients.
