Hey up party people....need tips on controlling greenhouse humidity,or any hacks to control/stabalise humidity.
Havent had a lot of experience in the greenhouse department compared to indoor grows.

ive noticed a big build up of moisture inside the greenhouse, ive added extra vents yesterday seems to have kept it down a little today.

any help would be appreciated.
thanks

I have a 12'x7' greenhouse and I just have an oscillating fan inside to circulate air and that works well, I have vents on the side for air exchange. Good luck

When I built my GH it opened up a whole new can of worms and opportunities.
I've found aside from circulating fans an exhaust fan is almost essential for heat and humidity control. You will need enough vents to accommodate it though. Or an intake fan to match. I installed a swamp cooler in conjunction with my exhaust fan to help control temps. And a sunscreen as well for those 90+ days. Humidity isn't a problem for me until fall...then I drag out the dehumidifier.

I Was thinking of taking the door of and replacing with a mosquito net for airflow.

i have got a spare 4" extractor.ill use the 4" and a oscilatting fan on a timer will work well i think together.sounds like a plan.cheers peeps

this is the right size for your greenhouse a 4in. wouldn't move enough air for the 5 to 10LBs of plants and moisture in the soil.I live where it is 11% humidity opposite of your situation,my plants are about 30% larger that outside and a bit thinner stemmed.

My greenhouse is 8ft x4ft.i know its not huge, it has to be hidden among bushes in my garden.
Do u think the 4in would be to small,im gonna do just four plants in 5 gallon pots, dont wanna overfill.

Technically the volume of the GH in cubic feet should be exchanged once per minute minimum.
If yours is say 4x8x8=256cf. You would need at least a 250cfm fan 300 would be much better.
For reference most bathroom fart suckers are rated about 100cfm, which most fall short of their rating.

my greenhouse is 24 x 48 x 12 and is 13,824 cu ft and we use 2 --7000 cu ft a minute fans and the humitity is 30-40 % and the plants grow like hell also have a dry air furnace that helps in the fall /winter

I seen a dicumentary on t.v about the epidemic in massachuttes everyone on the smackbecause its cheaper than oxycontin that the doctor prescribed them when they were kids.bad bad news.
theres enough brown shit round here 2,but us stoners/growers are put in the same category near enough.its fukin backward our law,it was class c in 2004 the goverment put in back up to class b in 2009.
