Thanks bro. Also what do you think about this? I'm a bit short on money right now and would rether have 30 extra dollars for grocries than soil. I've heard of people baking there soil to kill all the unwanted creatures in the soil. Do you think I'll ok doing this? I would really like to save the money on the soil and just use what I have.

dude great start to your grow! looks like you got a bit more space this grow. but on a side note, i have heard of people doing different things with their soil, like boiling it, or running boiling hot water through the soild a few time to kill off anything in it. i think the best thing would be to run the boiling water through your soil with a wire strainer.

im tuned in for this grow! +rep

What up Casper? Glad you made over here. And ya got a bit more vertical space. I'm only focusing on one plant at a time now to keep my grow small and what do I need with more than one plant going at a time anyways?

Hmmmmm the boiling sounds like a good idea for killing everything, its just gonna take quite a bit of boiled water to do that. Hmmmm I'll try both and see whats faster. My girl just took some chicken parmesan out the oven so after we eat I'll get started. If I get it all done shortly I'll go ahead and transplant into her new and final home.

yumm yumm chicken parm! that is some good eatin'

but if you have a big sauce pan it will prob make it go faster.. or you can just be really funny and use all 4 stove top burnners at once lol.

so i finally got my grow going... when you get some time check it out, its nothing special but would like some of your input on it https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/221098-cfl-bagseed-rubbermaid-stealth-grow.html

Ok so I didn't even use the boiling water method the oven was just faster. I had like 4 oven safe pots and baked all my soil for about 15 minutes on 400F. Let the soil cool real nice and then did the transplant. Wow in the two weeks of the BUKU being in the 3 gl grow bag her roots went off. I'm sure they are going to go crazy here soon as I flip her to 12/12. The transplant went very very very very smoothly just flipped bag upside down holding plant, carefully slide grow bag off flipped rightside up and plopped in the new pot. Filled soil all around the old mold watered and shut the tent up till tommorow when I'm gonna start tying her down.

Ya the baking method worked. I found one bug in the middle of a deeper dish so that makes sense it didn't get to killing point in that certain dish. As for the brown/silver bugs naw never did. I kept at it with the organocide on the soil combined with the tobacco water/ a drop of dawn dish soap. Every morning at 10 I would soak the soil with both sprays. Then also 10 at night when the lights turned on I would soak the soil with both sprays. Last time I watered I noticed that the silver bugs washed out of the grow bags dead. So I'm pretty happy with the stuff. I'll have pics up as soon as the damn drill charges so I can drill in all my screws on the pot. Anyways till then :joint:

Ok so I got a bit busy today. The tying took a bit longer than I thought and the girl and I had some plans today. As soon as the lights flip on I'll snap some pics promise haha.

Hey nice bit of LST there GFK.
If you turn her too early you won't get a very big yield.
I'd wait until she at least gets to the edge of that pot before flippin the switch.
Your grow though dude.

Are you talking about the two upper main shoots getting to the rim or all the shoots? If its all the shoots I'm gonna be vegging for a good bit longer then :( oh well it pay off in the long run. I think 6 weeks should do her good, thats a bit less than 2 more weeks so I'll be good. I'm just excited to get this show on the road hahaha. I'm also excited to clone her as well when I trim the lower growth off. Every shoot thats big enough to try with I'm gonna try it. I only want to keep one but I want enough to give myself a good enough chance at it. That way I don't have to waste me time with seeds anymore. I've already got a lil mother/clone box going inside my head. I'm thinking just get a fairly decent size rubbermaid, snatch the pc fans out of my old dresser box, paint the inside of the box flat white and the outside pitch black (with acuatal brush paint this time not freaking spray paint....) I got a lil "nook" inbetween my real dresser and the wall were it will fit very nicely and also much stealthier than the grow tent hehehe. Anyways, I'm off to work

Yeah like I said mate it's your grow but I would let her get a bit bigger before I'd flip her.
5 - 6 weeks veg should be fine but remember she did get slowed down with the over watering and transplanting.
Clone box sounds good.
Enjoy your night mate.

Ya I know its my grow but really I'm coping your grow style so all your input would be great. More veg time isn't a problem I'm just an inpatient person by nature :) (which Im getting better at). Ya week 5 is this sunday and 6 next sunday. I'll just take her to next sunday.

Casper sounds like a good idea. I didn't mean to say mother plant as I'm not interested in keeping one mother to say. I just need enough room to get a clone rooted and then vegged for a couple weeks while my big girl in flower finishes up then when I throw her into the tent and get a good two to three weeks veg in there (depending on how much veg time she got in the clone box) She should be ready to give me some more clones off the underbrush I will be trimming off for lollipop reasons. Having a mother plant would mean more than 5-6 plants at a time which I don't want or need to have. Trying to keep my numbers as low as I possibly can. Thanks for the tip though bro.

I hear ya bro. When you get a good keeper you might wanna think about "weedin" some of those other plants out man. You want to have ample room and lighting for your girl. I'd rether see you have one decently sized plant yeiled a good bit than a bunch of plants squeezed into that box and you not get much.

Wow BUKU looking great I tied to more shoots out now. Just leaves the bottom two which are just starting to grow now that the canopy has been opened up. Hmmm the stems branching to the leaves are very dark purple and stem is pretty green with a bit of purple tinges to it??? I'm not thinking its getting low on nitrogen yet right? I mean I put a good bit of guano in about a week and a half ago I'm sure its not all gone. Also the soil has added nutrients (not much but still). If its not getting low on nitrogen does this mean I possible have a purple pheno? I mean I know you really can't tell until it flowers but I was wanting to know if the purps by nature show this as well. I'll get pics up shortly (even though you probably won't be able to see it very well). Ummm till then :joint:
