Green Lights

Hey guys, so I have been reading Marijuana Horticulture: The Indoor/Outdoor Medical Grower's Bible. In the book, Jorge mentions that you can use the green light in the flower room when the big lights are off and that it will not affect the flowering cycles. Anyone ever test this? Thanks and Cheers

I've heard this a thousand times. Here's the thing, even thou green light does not affect the general nightcycle of the plant and does not lead to photosynthesis, ANY type of light, including green one, will disturb the biochemical processes of THC and cannabinoid production that occur only during the night. Practically, all new cannabinoid molecules are broken down because of the light. Eventually you end up with a bud with less potency.

bongsmilieI recently joined the Ranks of the Legal Medical Marijuana Patients in Michigan. When I was designing my Grow Room, I asked a few veteran growers about this and they told me they use them all the time with no ill effects. So I installed a dedicated socket for a Green Light Bulb in my Grow Room. This is only my 1st Grow, but my Flowering buds are Frosting up real nice.:weed:

I dont doubt what Doctor Cannabis is saying but, my bulb is only about a 20 watt incadescent, and hung at the top of the room, so a few feet from the plants. I dont think it has affected my plants a bit.
