Green light

I've read that the only true all spectrum light is called green light 555 mn. Does anone know about this? Do they make an actual bulb or is it just the ideal spectrum? I'm new to this so I'm curious as to what exactly to use.

I just bought a green light LED, they are the one spectrum that planets do not detect. I was wondering about them as well before I bought them but when I went to my hydroshop and talked to the owner I was sold. I use mine all the time when lights are out and my babies are sleeping. From what I've noticed when they hit any white light they wake up and the leaves start to raise, this green light shows no signs of waking up my babies!

Also they do make "bulbs" that are tuned to that spectrum check up http://www.greenhornetlighting.com it's LED bulbs but deff a good read to look into.

LogicTime is right the green light is used to work in your room during lights off,the green light does not affect the photoperiod of your plants

Agreed. Because chlorophyll turns green when hit with light, plants can't absorb green light and therefore does not effect the photoperiod. Iv'e used this little trick several times when I was unable to tend my garden before lights out.

I grow in my bedroom so after lights out I replace my white bulb in my lamp with a green one. Better than not being able to see and it doesn't interupt my dark cycle.
