Well I have no idea about Oklahoma, but, if it doesnt get too cold like you said, than all you are depending on is day length, ie hours of sunlight.
The plant needs long hours of light for vegetative growth (summer), and then the shorter days that come in autumn make it flower. As we are already beginning autumn, it could be a little late, it would grow no doubt, but just might begin to flower prematurely as it will know it is autumn.
But no harm if u have nothing to lose eh??!!
