Go over to the pet store and get some C02 tubes and little air rock dispensers - fish tank section

Also take a tube and put it on the back of your fans that way it gets spread about the room

You will find all you need for under 10 bucks

I'd say the reason your friend is able to make little tree clones is because it looks like he takes tops or well branched cuttings. I like that method myself, although they can sometimes take a little longer to root than smaller less "woody" cuts. I'm curious as to how you're irrigating. I see a black tube circling the tray, but I don't see any additional lines? I'm running also the identical setup myself, but I'm using 2 3X6 trays, and use two 1000 lights on an LR5 mover. I'm a big fan of moving the lights, so that you don't get shady spots, and have more tolerance when it comes to dealing with heat issues- mostly during summer months.

Lookin' great man!
I know one guy with a light mover. He uses it like you do. It moves less than a foot. He's not trying to replace a bulb and hood (which you can't do). He's just trying keep his plants cool and he said that 1ft makes a difference to him.

I flood the tray with the black valve on the end of the tray. I would also say it's my primary drainage line. When the pump turns off that is where probably 70% of the water drains from the tray back into the res.

If you look under the middle of the tray on the outer edge you will see a blue drainage tube. That is the overflow...that only kicks in once 50 gallons are in the tray. It's a tall fitting and is vented up high. Probably like yours. Once the water gets below the flood line of that overflow line, it stops draining and the little short one is now providing 100% of the drainage. Slight pitch in the floor makes it drain well.

Basically the middle one is for overflow only. It gets the water a 1/4" above the slabs and the little cubes suck up the water another inch or two.

And make sure you cut the lower 1/3 leaves off so it will focus the energy on the tops

I believe the hip word the kids are using is called lolipopping

I'm gonna let them grow. No trimming or lollipopping. The only reason I topped was for height.

There are two fans in there. One behind the lights on the wall and a floor standing fan. I move the floor fan for a decent pic.

Are you closer to SD or LA?

How are the collectives and or clubs down there?
I'm in SD county. LA prob has more dispensaries than any other city. They vary in size and what not. SD Dispensaries are ok...kind of ghetto if you ask me.

I realize we are all stoners but it's not helping the cause when you see the lame decor these people choose. Even the ones ran by chicks are weak. Many lack the professional appearance I feel a Dispensary should have.

Same thing up north, there are some good ones and some really bad ones

Surprisingly SF clubs do not have and Chronic for sale mostly swag

It's tough to find good buds that's why I started growing again, and I am sick of paying for that shit

I find it hard to believe that you could categorize SF clubs as having schwag. I am not from Cali but I travel to SF once a year, and obtain club herb. None of it has been anything below my expectations....... ANd all the strains we never have in my state

beautiful. I love rockwool. I am growing after a time in soil in hydro and the beauty of rockwool is how solid it is. I also have a plant in a hydroton like substance called recycled tire mulch and the rockwool is kicking its ass. I am only vegging for mothers now tho. Enuf bout me, clean setup! Crack operation.

My buddy who is an accomplished grower took about 25 days to hit the 18" mark in soil. I was able to accomplish that in under two weeks and my nutes were running really hot...really hot. It's the finished product that counts. I'm sure I will grow something big. But the finer details is what I still need to learn for a healthy and tastey harvest.

Those slabs are so heavy. After a watering it's crazy how heavy they are.

They feel like each one is 45lbs...at least!

A chick and her man down here are using that white foamy stuff. Basically shaped like RW slabs but white foam. They want to see how it performs versus Rockwool so they have a small tray of that going right now.

Edit- website is bugging a bit. Photos aren't showing up. I'll check back in later to re-edit.

I'm three weeks into this grow. Two of veg and about 8 days of flower. So far so good.

Starting to see some action.

I'm sure I've gained a few inches since my last post. I had to raise the lights...

Cleaned things up a bit so it's easier to sweep. White floors show everything. I'm glad I got those cables and what not off the floor.

A closer shot...

Tray is pretty much at capacity here. You can see the water gets just above the slab. That's all it really needs. The top of the block is damp but not wet. A 1/4" of water at the small block soaks up a good 1.5". She's getting plenty of water. I might actually stop watering a half hour before the lights go off. Leaves look a little soggy to me. Still not that special green color I'm used. Green for sure...just not perfect. Meh...

My stalks are buldging out at the bottom. They remind me of the established fruit trees around me. A big knuckle at the bottom.

Things are starting get crackin' around here.

I have been to more than a dozen clubs and have not found anything close to what I would pick up on an normal basis from SF, sorry to disappoint and I wish I could cause it is a heck of a lot closer than where I am going now

Sorry for the side track Dub

Back to your usual scheduled program

looking awesome man... nothing like having a clean setup...
Thanks,

Plants were looking a tad soggy here and there. I'm going to not water a half hour before lights out. RW holds so much water that it should be just fine and hopefully make all the leaves perfect.

I'm running different nutes on this hydro grow then I have for my soil grows. I'm gonna go back to what I used for my soil grows. I can adjust on the fly and am far more comfortable with my old nutes then this new system.

The reason I used these new nutes is I wanted to copy a buddies system. On the surface they look the same but I have a different strain so who cares about everything else. I can tell this strain doesn't like the ratio's I'm throwing at it.

Time to adjust and to craigslist 7.5gallons of GH 3 part nute system.
