Great white / Hydro-guard alternative ?

I run all my outdoor DWC buckets with hydroguard in 105F heat in the summer and I don't have any problems. I even got lazy and didn't use it for one year and only one of the 6 buckets got sick. The bacteria just persisted in all the other ones. I'm about to harvest like 25 mandarin oranges tomorrow out of a 5 gal DWC.

It's kind of hard to justify the price of hydroguard for grapes and oranges... so I'm always looking for a replacement.

I just dont like the powder of great white, ( one thing i liked about hydro guard because it was already liquid )

has anybody tried S7 by flying skull?

Im not raising worms like remo suggests.

Maybe someone is running an alternative Benny they would like to share their experience? I have not seen much about the s7, but from what i have read it needs to be re-applied every few days

Question for Southern AG users -

Hydroguard has the appearance of water, with little to no smell. I'm guessing that's likely due to the fact that it's mostly water. Does the Southern AG have a brown color to it? Does it have a kinda funky smell?

The reason I ask is because I picked up a bottle of Monterrey Complete Disease Control to deal with something on my GF's plumeria. It has almost identical concentrations of bacillus amylo as the Southern AG does, but it's dark brown and has an odor to it. I don't mind paying the money for Hydroguard, cause it works. Just worried about switching to something that could potentially muck up my reservoirs

No, the AG stuff looks like chocolate milk. And has an earthy, funk to it.

is it the same bacteria concentration of GFF? i forget atm but it's 1 million x than hydroguard

if it's remotely close to GFF, you'll love it. and realize that hydroguard has been ripping people off for years.

Great White has the one specific bacteria that Hydroguard has, plus a lot more. Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens is the main ingredient in Hydroguard. That microbe is also found in Enhance MC and many other microbe/bacteria/fungus formulations. It's all safe with Mammoth P too.

I would likely run great white or some of the others if it werent for the cost. Using most of them at recommended rates would cost more than my nutrient per grow. Southern ag is cheap AF and effective.
