Great Germination Story

Well I started germinating maybe 2wks ago... I did the paper towels thing and nothing happend... so maybe 4 days after I started that, I decided I'll try the cup with warm water theory... maybe 3 days after I started that a seed had fully cracked and the little white thingy was poking out... as a first time grower I think I potted it a bit too soon but... anyway... I planted it and after 3 days... nothing... so I started ripping up the soil to see what was going on... once again, I acted a "Tad" rash lol... so I threw the pot back in the closet and I was just gonna not mess with it... empty it this weekend or something... well today I went in my closet to get something and I spotted the pot so I decided to look and see what was going on in there... so investigate and A SPROUT!!! I don't know how but there is a sprout. It's maybe an inch tall... so as soon as I saw that I got my lights turned on and all setup...

I know it's only one sprout but, this is real exciting to me...




p.s. should I water? I think the last time I put water in there was maybe a week ago... the soil looks dry but theres spots where it looks like there is some water...

yes give it a good water. then dont water again untill its completely dry. congrats

good story....that happened with my first outdoor grow....put the seeds a little too far down in the cups and nothing happed for 4 days and i stopped looking at them came back about 5 days later and there they were, 30 little sprouts sticking out of the soil bout a 1/2 inch high ... i was so happy!!!

niiice... did you get a nice yield?

dude i feel the same way when my sprouts pop up, i always get so exited that there is a new plant being born that will one day be a giant and give me buds lol.

It's a beautiful thing.
Only give them water if the top inch of the soil is DRY.
you don't want to starve them, but you don't want to drown them.

it is so awesome to watch them first peak out. and then the way the leaves curl out of the seed husk - very awesome and amazing the first, the tenth or I imagine the hundredth time you watch it.

Its pretty cool how they just pop up all of a sudden. I germed a couple dozen in a paper towel a couple weeks ago and it took about 4 days for them all to germ. I planted them all in seperate pots and checked them anxiously every morning and night for any signs of my newly born lil girls. nothing happened for the first couple days, when i checked them in the morning there was nothing, but when i came back that night they were awake and thriving, almost an inche! I got them outside now( im in virginia) and there doing great considering its still a lil chilly.

It is pretty amazing. Sometimes it seems like minute - nothing - the next minute here comes a little bit of green peeking out! and then in day or two - there's leaves and everything

y does it take you all soooo long to germinate I germinated about 20 seeds in 2 days and the root was like an inch long and i put them in between a paper towel and wet it and put it in a zip lock bag and checked it the next day and they were sprouted
