grass clippings?

hey does anyone know if i put grass clippings (from the lawn mower) into my clay-like soil, would it improve the quality of it? or would it do nothing.

the soil in my area is too clay like...if i dug holes wouldnt the water pool up at the bottom? is there any way to avoid this?

It would give it more nutrients, but not worth growin in after what you said about it being clay. but in your case you should just buy organic soil, perlite, and some organic nutrients
