Apparently ive got streched... As far as i can read on the net this is bad...

These a going to be my mother plants så they will never go into bloom... Is this still a bad thing?

Its been exactly one week since i germinated the seeds..

I use a 150w CFL for lights.. As you can see on the picture it is close to the box..

Two other seedlings have showed roots and they went in my DWC system with a 250w MH but they look like the ones on the photo..

Any thoughts?

No don't start over these should be fine.

Stretch is bad in that the plants can break and/or have a weak and spindly trunk. One good way to deal with this is to pot them up to a bigger pot and bury those stems right up to about 1/2" below the cotyledons (you can do this with hydro by putting them in the bottom of the net pot and then covering them with hydroton to the desired level). You should cover your Rockwool anyway to prevent algae growth on it.

Then lower that CFL to about 1-2" over the plant. Just make sure it doesn't burn them but I use a 2' 4 lamp T5 for my seedlings and I put it 2" or less above the plants top leaves.

Thanks guys.. Ill cover it up with hydroton asap. (So no rockwool is showing) Should i pull the lid off my box to get the CFL closer?

Thanks.. This is my first grow ever.. Hope this will be the end of my problems..

You will make many mistakes, Even for grows to come you will make mistakes.

But every grow you will take something from it and apply it to the next and you will get better and better.

Yea my friends has ALOT of issues with growing weed.. Root rot, nute burn ect. and they are trying the best they can.. Ive been reading about growing for weeks and months now but it seemes like trouble can come out of nowhere.. Well im up to the challenge.. I really need to be growing myself its getting too expensive to buy weed for my medical condition :(

Ahh that's right they are in a small box. Why not set them above the box and bring the light right down on them for now. You see in a small box with a light right on them there might not be enough air circulation and you could end up poaching them. I don't know what your air circulation setup is so make SURE after you put those lights right down on them you don't cook them. I put a remote thermometer inside my little plastic jiffy seed tray. I don't let the temp get above 85.

My temps isnt a problem.. Or is it? In the 150w CFL i get 22.8 degrees C and in my MH 250w i get 24.8.. Let me see what that is in your numbers..

CFL : 73.040ºF
MH : 76.640ºF

Might be too low ?
