Years ago, when I was still growing for real in the all out of doors, I had one hell of a crop coming in. This would be back in about 1979 or 1980 before the big "Drug War" and everyone was still smoking, I had a similar thing happen, only (of course) it was worse. I don't mean to one up you, but I guess I am. Sorry dude but it is an interesting story. At least I think it was.
I went out to my plot one afternoon and was taking some fan leaves off the plants and sticking them in my back pocket. I was attempting to make a salad with them, don't do it, the taste is horrible and there was no high to it. I had 53 plants growing at that time and it was getting close to harvest time, within a week or so anyway.
The next night on the news they had a segment on how well the pot crop was doing outdoors that year, just the right amount of rain for it. As I was watching, I noticed that the background looked awful familiar as they paned to someone who was sticking fan leaves into the back pocket of their blue jeans. Uh oh, that's me!
I jumped off the couch and went out to my weedpatch and low and behold, my plants were gone! All of them, pulled by the roots and gone. I did find about a half dozen small plants that they had missed. They were jerked out of the ground and brought to a friends house for curing.
I never did know for sure who took the pot, but I suspect a camera crew for the local news. I did not ask and no one came to tell me. I didn't get busted or anything, but that ended my outdoor growing ops until it is legal or if not then at least forever.
I was noided out for months afterwards. I guess I still am which is why I no longer grow inside or outside. I do have friends that grow and provide me with what ever I need. I am a chronic pain patient which has its perks, one of them being, free weed but if I had a choice between the free weed and having to pay for it because I am pain free, I would pay for it and the heck with this free stuff. Being pain free would well be worth it.
