im sorry but i have to disagree...i give warnings by posting signs..."trespassers will be shot" as long as there trespassing start dumping (just make sure hes facing u and not to shoot him in the back or off the property)..i have a family and if people are already stealing from u whats to stop them from going into ur home?..Your screwed once the maggots find you. Fences and all other security methods just lead back to you. If someone wants to burn you than they are in and out before lighting or alarms become an issue. Can't shoot them either. That just won't work out as tempting as it might be.
It would all be so much more fun without all the worries that go with the time invested.

well he said he was ripped..he didnt say he was at the garden when it was raided...where im from calling somone a rat is enough to see people go missing..i wouldn't jump to conclusions until learning the full story

I'm a gun toting american but as tempting as it is you CAN'T shoot someone for ripping you off. Lord knows that just thinking about someone burning me makes me want to rack a round of #4 Buck but the consequences of shooting the maggot far outweigh any rewards. I've got an LTC but I hope that if some turd robbed me I would give him my wallet rather than put 3 or 4 90gr .380's center mass.
You can always try a grow next season but shoot the SOB or even show him a gun or threaten him you might have to wait a bit before growing again. Use game cameras and if you ID the dog make the retribution long and painful but not attributable to you.
I think you may have contributed to your own loss by a lack of common sense as well. You put the bait on the hook and you WILL catch something. Very often good friends or family. Dude WTF were you thinking? I mean you had babies stolen and did not expect them to return for the rest??

Those signs won't do anything for you. The only state you can get away with gunning someone down in your yard for stealing plants is in the state of Texas... that is only if you are not doing anything unlawful. Texas doesn't permit growing marijuana right now so you'de be done.
If you value your freedom you're not going to want to gun someone down for doing this, unless you are very wealthy, because you will need a top notch lawyer to even think about possibly defeating the charges you will face for doing so. You won't be growing your plants anymore when you're in jail.

u dont tell your lawyer or the courts it was over plants...it was over ur safety and ur familys...last i checked self defence is not a crime...and like u stated a good lawyer will get u out of anything...

Sorry bout ur luck .. But believe they will keep checking every year get yourself a dog to run the yard I put mine outside and she got a house right beside my small garden I need two weeks and I feel safe with her patroling the yard some one mentioned geese well that sounds good get you acouple ginnies they gray White speckled they let you know if any one lurking bout like a chicken but you can't sneak by a ginnie may not be spelled right sorry for your lose

Because having a pet goose and dog in your backyard won't get old at all....... You don't have to feed a security system. A security system doesn't "bark" or a "honking sound" when a bird flies by. There's no need to take a security system to the veterinarian. A security system won't get out of the fence or run/fly through the gate. But no........by all means. Pit-bulls and geese. State of the art. Genius suggestion.

ok, at least everyone is not pushing for dogs..
my idea now is a sturdy locking gate on each garden and at least one piece of monitoring equipment.. maybe heavier wire on the garden fences and i have a strong suspicion where the kids climbed over the back fence, so bamboo screening along that fence so it can't be climbed.. going over that fence is a hell of a lot easier than trying to find my house from the main street - also, i doubt that could carry whole plants out my drive.. so, securing that fence somehow is a priority in my mind..
