No, a fan will do. Just make sure the tops don't get too hot.
my small fan was thrown in the garbage a long time ago, i am currently using an oscillating stand fan and sometimes switch it to desk fan.

got some worries like it might shatter and cause fire. and i am also thinking about heat problems.

if your in a sealed room , and plane on making money, using co2 , and healthy plants, cool tube, if your a hobbyist not concerned about max yields, or super quality, then open hood, rem some of these strands we have to run very cool 2 weeks before harvest. example purple haze. will notttt be purple if the temp was not lowered, a/c will not keep up with open hoods and very hard to keep temps proper with open hoods, C000000000LLLL TUBE 8 inch

it really helps to have a cooltube with a filter and 450cfm centrifugal fan beforehand. This eliminates smell as well as heat. But this can be expensive. Cfl and hid are like chalk and cheese, you're issue, in your climate will be heat.

i am thinking that hps is a better lighting than cfls and yeah heat will be a problem, because right know i am using cfls and temps go up.

what do you think?

still buy hps and try it, and if it doesn't fit regarding temps i'll just replace it with another item?

or just buy again cfls and some potting mix?

hid is not a magic potion, you should still be able to grow with cfl dude, just use 100w per plant minimum, and if your ambient temps are 30c, adding a 400w will make it unviable.

I got a cool tube not long ago has my temps were getting really high due to sunny hot days here in the UK at the moment....It has made a really big difference in my room and i can now run a 400w and a 600w ....600w in the cool tube and the 400w provides the heat just perfect for me ....

In such a small space it would be almost impossible to use hps without a cooltube, i have a small space too and i cant keep temps in check without a cooltube even in the reasonably cool temps of UK.

Also, a cool tube does nothing without air running through it to cool it, so you need to buy a decent inline or centrifugal fan with it and ducting

i didn't bought an hps at the mall i need to go again to a home depot to buy there, but i bought a new soil mix, don't know what will it do,

composed of compost fungi, volcanic sand grit, volcanic loam soil, egg shells.

is this good? or i should decide to buy again the old ready mixed soil that i used before, composed of compost, soil, perlite, and coco bust.
