Gorilla grow tent review.

I just set up a new Gorilla 2x2.5 grow tent. I started to go with a $100 tent, but opted to spend twice that. The tent was a breeze to setup in 20 minutes. The black outer material is thick and heavy duty! The inside reflective material is diamond textured and very reflective. The zippers are smooth and also heavy gauge. Venting ports are well laid out, located on top and sides. As well as smaller ports to bring in power from either the top, bottom, or both. All ports are double cinching for lightproof seal. I'd give this tent a 9 out of 10.
There was only one issue I've had, one there were lots of lose threads hanging free on the inside. Excellent stitching job, but sloppy lose ends. It took me 20 seconds and a pair of scissors to simply trim the loose ends. Hope his helps if anyone needs a small high quality tent.

Yeah def. If your going to buy tents vs build your own I personally think gorilla tents are the way to go. Very tough material + can hold a lot of weight. I have a dehumidifier, carbon filter, exhaust fan, my light, & another fan all being held up by the tent. My only complaint is there was some light leaks due to bad stitching

Good to know I can handle all that weight. My lights are led so they weigh very little, and dont need additional cooling.. I will be installing a 4" carbon filter and fan. My tent is totally light tight, except I see a little bleeding through the top roof zipper.

The deal is ....You put in the time 2-3 grows with the correct gear no cfl shit, then you come back here and right up your opinion don't try and flame some spam at us,

....go figure!!!

I wasn't a huge fan of the one I purchased. The corners in my tent weren't welded straight, the holes weren't deburred properly, and the paint was chipping with small rust spots throughout. It took me an hour to get it all setup fixing those issues and I had the same issue with frayed edges and loose ends on the tent itself. Very disappointing for a tent in this price range.

The material is nice and thick, the lower vent holes are handy, and the viewing windows are nice. However I don't see what makes it tent 3x the price of cheaper tents with similar features.

I agree. They have a lot of nerve putting out that kind of product and charging as much as they do. I think gorilla has grown too fast too quick and their quality control is slipping. When they first came out you never heard of any issues but now there seems to be a lot of people who are finding flaws with their tents. I was considering a gorilla but then I saw some youtube videos where this one guy posted about 10 vid's pointing out all the messed up features of his tent that he bought. He had velcro straps sewn on backwards, loose stitching, screwed up zippers that didn't zip together, light leaks, etc.. It was a real eye opener. I'm in the market for a 4x8 and I'm most likely going to stick with jardin. I have the 3x3 now, and even though it's not perfect it's pretty inexpensive and the place that I get gear from only carries Jardin. That store gives me 20% off on tuesdays with a mmj card as well so it's almost a no brainer.

The gorilla tent is sturdy, light tight, and has nice reflective material inside. I think $200 is steep for gorilla's smallest tent. It is worth more like $150. I think that it is better than the average $100 tent.

.....I understand that you consider yourself to be an absolute authority on everything to do with this hobby. However, I don't appreciate you mocking how many grows I have, or what gear I'm currently using. I will continue to post my personal opinion on grow equipment that may be of benefit to others in this forum. That is not flaming spam at all.

I've been planning on going with a Gorilla tent, but your post has made me revisit this topic, which I thought I was decided on. What sold me, among other things, was the IR reflective material in the top panel. However, now that I've decided 100% to go the LED route, I guess that's less of an issue than previously. I will look for negative reviews on YT as you've described. Still may end up going that way, but thanks for the heads up man!

Gorilla grow tents are generally a bit expensive but i find that they are more easier to get it right off ready than to make my own tent from scratch. unfortunate that we have to pay a steep price but then they charge you for the quality. Most of the people i search online would love to own a gorilla grow tent but go for a custom build because they cannot afford it. i am yet to hear from a gorilla tent owner who is really not satisfied with his tent and would go for a custom build.

the price is steep. Yes. But then i dont think there is an option better than the gorilla. i may be totally wrong.

Worth every penny of the $250. Dont skimp with lite line. i have assembeled, dissassembled, reassembled...no tears, no light leaks, no broken corners or poles, adequalte ventalation, ports for every possible chord, or venting possible. No smells escape the thick skin. Shouldve got it sooner.

Thinking about grabbing a gorilla cause my jardin leaks light on the zipper and its in the same room as my bloom.
Now my question is, are they actually light proof? I mean completely.

I have a standard line 5 x 9 and a lite line 2 x 4 ... The 5 x 9 came with the left window not sewn to the tent properly.. but they were cool and ended up giving me back 100 dollars and sent me a t shirt.... paid 700 originally.. The lite line 2 x 4 tent came with several light leaks in the bottom zipper in the front and also larger holes where the utility pouch is sewn on.. Also a couple other small pin holes here and there.. Somewhat disappointed..with the second one.. aside from the issue with the window on the 5 x 9 its an excellent tent.
