Let's say my friend has a plant.. 400w hps is what's in use but wondering if you could switch off each day or whatever time interval with a led panel. Not sure if it has been done but please bring your knowledge to this newby!!

I'm no light expert but I know during flowering you don't wanna stress your plants to much. I'm sure you'll get some answers from a light expert though

Well if you just run the led Lights with the hps you can't really see the LEDs. But just the leds, the bud looks purple.

I'm sure there would be something on the good ol' world wide web, if this was a successful technique...imo-too much change=too much stress.

A lot of people on here have friends with problems I've noticed. :joint:

You could put the led at the top, then put a cool tube down in the middle of your plants so it radiates in all directions. That'd pump a bunch of lumens at them.

i'm with the majority in that it will probably cause stress. is there a particular reason you are interested in this? i'm guessing you'd like to save on the power bill but i don't think you would get enough benefit to justify it. i'd run both.
