Hey RIU sup!!
Hello from me and my lovely plant. I am into 57th day of flowering (or 60) and the Trichomes are not like those I have seen in the pictures. It has a long stalk and no bulbous protrusion at the end. I have taken pictures but not that clear.
Today we Indians are celebrating the day of Lord Shiva and I feel good to harvest today. But as this is a Sativa strain and I don't see much THC loaded in the Trichomes, I might wait another week. Experienced growers please let me know what you feel.
This was a bag seed, so from my observations, a Sativa dominant. The Trichomes are plenty, but the ones on top of the Cola re not loaded yet. The ones below are past harvest window I guess. The pistils are retrieving into the Calyx.
So my doubt is, if I wait another week, will there be an increase in filling up of THC in Trichomes? The red pistils are more than 80%, but the remaining white pistils are milky or not loaded with THC or whatever it is inside them.
Please do let me know your thoughts.
It is a small plant you know, and am amazed by the fruity smell it has. Smells like raw mango and an early harvest was a clear head high. We were laughing and fooling around, had a lovely time.
The Trichomes pic look shitty, as soon as I find the data cable for the Cam, I'll post some good pics.
1- Red pistils 2. Clear pistils 3. LMAO! From cloudy and red at tip pistil 4. Clear, CLoudy & resin filled Trichomes 5&6. Randomzz
So if you guys can identify a strain by looking at the Trichomes, this would be very helpful for other growers and me too.
I have decided to harvest in three days, just the top colas and I want to retain this plant. If I cut off the colas, will it be back to veg cycle? I am aiming at a sativa which is more or less balanced on THC:CBD ratio. So I guess this is pretty much couch-lock now
Your views and feedback are my fuel. Keep them coming.
I am not worried about the yield, I guess my next batch of Indica will yield me well.
Thank you everyone for joining the ride. I have some Indica "Mysore Mango" coming soon I hope.
Love & Peace,
Toker.
