Good Og's?

Well i asked this question on a different forum and everyone said "Cali connection!!!!" after a quick laugh, i come to you RIU to ask for actual growers with actual results that have grown some super tasty OG.

Thanks in advance for your time,
Kush Dankenstock

Well before you come here and ask questions like that and ridicule people trying to help.

Explain what is an og? :)

After you clear that up for the whole world we can suggestsome og strains for you.

Basically your asking us for an ocean grown strain. Doesnt mean shit.

Was really high sorry. Og kush is a real strain. But did not come from a kush crosed with an og.

Kush is real, og is nothing.

At this point, both Kush and OG are effectively just marketing terms that dispensaries and breeders throw an any strong indica-like plant. Many of them are related to the famous "OG Kush", but many aren't. Also, this strain has been so widely hybridized by so many breeders that many strains that do not have "OG" or "Kush" in their name are genetically related to OG Kush.

So depending on your point of view both terms "OG" and "Kush" are real, or neither one is.

In answer to the original question, yes, there is a famous strain that goes back to the early 1990s called "OG Kush", and that's probably what you're after.

The strain was largely passed around as clones, not ceeds, and for that reason many different versions ("cuts") of the original still exist: SFV (San Fernando Valley) OG, Tahoe OG, Ghost OG, etc, etc.

At this point, the strain has been so widely self- and outcrossed that I think there is a bit of room to argue what is and isn't a "real" OG Kush now. For example, some might say that if you're buying it as a ceed, it can't be a "real" OG Kush, because those are "clone only". If you are in CA or elsewhere where you have the ability to get clones, I'd say do that.

If not, there are a WHOLE bunch of breeders now that offer "OG kush" ceeds that represent various self pollinations (S1s) and/or crosses of the originals, and are supposed to mimic them. From lack of experience, I can't tell which ones are the "best", but you can try:

Reserva Privada: OG kush and OG Kush #18 (you can probably just end right there).
Cali Connection: Larry OG Kush, Tahoe OG (and probably 3-4 others that are other permutations of OG selfs and crosses)
Dinafem OG Kush
Granddaddy purple OG Kush.
Humboldt Se-ed Organization OG Kush.

For hybrids of OG Kush cuts with other things, there are way too many to list, but in addition to above consider Gage Green OGs, Karma Genetics OGs, DNA Genetics Lemon OG and OG LA Affie, etc, etc.

Give me a break. My Larry OG was the third most dank shit I've smoked in my life. And people that have ACTUALLY GROWN his regs of Tahoe, Larry, and Chem Valley will tell you a similar story. I've even heard good shit about his Sour Diesel.

Maybe grow it yourself instead of being a smart ass. Fact is, all that shit went down a while back with his feminized lines. You buy his regs of Tahoe and you won't be disappointed. Just ask anyone here, even the veteran growers that have grown it have said it was top shelf. "after a quick laugh" Get over that shit bro. It's old fucking news.

OG is not hype. Sure some companies use it as such. You can tell og by the way the leaves look. Its a vine like plant, very stretchy. Not a heavy yeilder. Small popcorn type buds. Very dense. Orange hairs. Buds are strong smelling of fuel, lemon, piney. The high is super strong head buzz, followed by a intense body buzz. The best of both worlds. A complete package in a hybrid.

If you say og is bullshit its obvious you never had it. Or the real deal anyway.

Og is the best of the best in my opinion. Og > chem > sour. All the rest, yoy all can keep em.

Note: og crosses are just that. Pissed on genetics. Buying og seeds is a crap shoot.

I have grown the Tahoe from cc. Out of 2 pack's I found a keeper that was super dank. More than half was straight garbage. No stability at aallbut there is fire out there for sure.

hey buddy calm the fuck down lmao.......I have read very mixed reviews of CC and their stuff.(most of which were right here on RIU) Obviously reg beans being more stable...The reason i created this thread was to ask people their results...Do you have any pictures or more details of yours or did you just post to talk shit?...I dont doubt they have the potential for dankness, but If you posted a thread asking the best strain and literally EVERY response was "Cali connection....Buddha tahoe or Deadhead OG!!" you might see my reason for chuckling...

Thanks for clearing that up...I had no idea there was that level of controversy with the OG name.....

I grew Larry OG Calicon. last season (outside) , very stable plant -I had six identical plants-, grate germination rate 6/6, amazing looks, unbelievable smell BUT a crapy smoke, mediocre at best..

can you give more detail on how the smoke was crappy? The last kush strain i had smoked rather crappy too. It smelled decent but almost tasted like nothing....I was rather disappointed.

Crap, kind like an auto flowering, very light and nothing to remember to.

Hey kush, have you tried cali connections? LOL. I'm sorry perhaps not funny I know. Heard good things about many og's around here, but there are hundreds of other strains that are on par with and in my humble opinion better.
