Good Morning/Weather Report Suite

My previous shit storm turned into a little poop: less than a 1/4" of snow followed by a minimum of ice glazing the trees, roofs, wires - nothing on the surface. I worked. The same vague forecast is predicted for next Thursday evening.

Glad the bad stuff missed you.

We had some light showers last night, and about half an inch this morning. More on the way for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The sun did come out and it got up to 78F. Turned into a pretty nice day. I got some holes dug for my Spring crop, and I was sweating between the pack of soil and the digging.

It's clear, 62F with 90% humidity at 2000. Forecast low 59F with 20% chance of rain tonight.

At 2246 it's currently 24 degrees, headed for a low of 14 tonight. It's not slated to rise above freezing until the weekend.

Inside, my chiller is simultaneously keeping the op cool and my home a nice n toasty 72.

At 1730 it's partly cloudy, 68F with 85% humidity. Our high was 79F today, with lots of fog and thunderstorms. Tonight's low is forecast to be 63F with 90% chance of rain. I see it on the radar coming this way. It will be a wet drove home from work tonight.

Quoting from the National Weather Service:

"* Timing... a mixture of snow... sleet and freezing rain is expected
to begin around sunrise this morning and continue through this
evening. There is a high degree of uncertainty of which
precipitation types will prevail in this area... but liquid
equivalent amounts of precipitation could be close to 1 inch...
which is a lot of snow or ice.

* Snow accumulations... 1 to 4 inches in the valley. Higher
amounts north of Eugene with lower amounts south of Eugene. 3 to
6 inches in the central Coast Range.

* Ice accumulations... ice accumulations could reach as high as a
quarter inch... or even close to one half inch."

I'll let you know how they did tonight...

It rained all night long. Nice and slow though. We got .4 before midnight, and .6 since. Good chance the creek is going to rise.

It's overcast, 67F with 95% humidity at 1455. High of 68F, low of 49F with 20% chance of rain tonight. I'm at work now, but after I get my tables and chairs setup for tomorrow's events {and take the wife to supper}, I'm heading to the camp. I built a couple of new stoves. I will try to remember to take some pictures of them in action.

Hey, they got it right. We had a mix of freezing rain, snow and sleet starting around 10:00; temps right around freezing. Left work early at 3:00, drove home through slush; precipitation transitioning to snow. Got about 3" before it stopped around 9:00. Cold last night, mid 20's. About a 1/4" of ice on the contorted filbert

The forecast is cool, but no more precipitation; warming into Monday with rain. How did you fair @Humanrob ?

We had the ice storm and usual first-ice-storm-power-outage last week. This weeks snow came through all below freezing temps, and with 18-38mph winds, so no rain or slush, all snow. The wind kept if from collecting much, just some drifts here or there.

The sub-freezing weather (in the 20s for at least the last 24 hours) has made keeping the tents warm a bit of a challenge, but I'm working on it. One is in an unheated (but partially insulated) detached garage, the other in a room on the north side of our old house, each has its own challenges.

We had the icy curly filbert thing last week :)

It was a very nice day here today. 60F for the high, with lots of sun. It's clear, 46F with 68% humidity at 2115. Forecast low of 37F tonight with no chance of rain. Looks like rain again on Monday. I checked on my raincatcher today. The 30 gallon trashcan and 6 five gallons buckets were full of water now that I don't really need it.
