And even longer,
An extension known as the International Appalachian Trail continues northeast, crossing Maine and cutting through Canada toNewfoundland, with sections continuing in Greenland, through Europe, and into Morocco. Other separate extensions continue the southern end of the Appalachian range in Alabama and continue south into Florida, creating what is known as the Eastern Continental Trail.
We have some good trails here in Florida. If the timing ever works out where I can get the cleaning guy to cover for me one weekend and Monday, I can get in almost two weeks.

First frost last night and another tonight but next weeks looks to be sunny and highs of 55-70 which is unseasonably high. Guess I'll be treckkng out again tonight to cover up dem bitches
How close are you to finishing? And how cold? I've had a few light frost before without any real damage.

I have some of that frost cloth that you can lay right on the plants like that. But it is very white.

1 - 3 weeks for all of mine I'm usually done by now just trying out some new unknown strains . Shouldn't see another frost for 10 days after tonight according to the forecast, temp down to 3 Celsius last night and tonight

It's sunny and warm this afternoon. At 1215 it's 78F with 48% humidity. Forecast high of 81F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 55F tonight. {it was 55F when I left for work at 0715}

Last night my thrift store Kenwood receiver here at work died. No big deal as I have several more thrift store receivers at home. If I had remembered to bring one of them. {it was a late night/early morning combo here at work} So It's laptop speakers for the day. Oh well.

It's sunny and 83F with 63% humidity this afternoon. Forecast low of 67F with 10% chance of rain tonight.

Last night I was doing some night hiking down the road from the camp. I've done this stretch several times without using my headlight. But last night I must have been too high, or just not paying attention in general. I thought I was past an embankment, and turned to go down and cross the ditch. Alas I wasn't past the embankment. I took a tumble. Didn't hurt last night. In fact I hiked another two miles. But during the night my shoulder let me know I was too old to be falling. The best part is that I have to set up tables and chairs tonight for an event later in the week, and I can't lift my arm above my shoulder.

Hey Larry, didn't anyone ever tell you? No falling down on the job! :P

Seriously, I'm sorry to hear you're sore.

It's warm here, but cloudy and breezy and that's blowing the yellowing leaves off the trees. So it feels very much like fall, even if it isn't cold yet.

Back to your tumble; one reason I enjoy smoking and hiking at night is because I felt it gave me better night vision. There's supposedly some evidence that it helps, but it's worked for me.

Get well soon. Just remember, smoke weed to soothe aches and pains, not cause them, lol

55-68 daytime highs the next week but cold nights, gonna get down to 35F next two nights with pAtchy frost, I'll be covering them tonight again, hope to make it another two weeks atleast after cutting out a few small pieces of bud rot from a few and chopping one due to a decent amount of bud rot.

Sometimes that extra safety meeting isn't safe.

I had done five miles in the afternoon. After supper and a fat joint, a few more miles seemed like a good idea. Maybe I'll be using my headlight next time.

I've dealt with more bud rot this year than I ever had before. It is hard to decide when to chop early. Every week the buds are getting fatter. But there are also some of them rotting. I've got to where I will cut buds off as soon as I see a dead leaf sticking out of an otherwise green bud. Odds are it will be too far gone to save in four or five days.

Unfortunately, why I cut early. That and the two weeks (and than four months) of rain & cooler temps. Maybe gonna crack the 70's next weekend. Welcome to autumn in Oregon.

At 1450 it's sunny and 84F with 60% humidity. Forecast high of 87F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 68F tonight.

The storm off the east coast is bringing in some windy weather. It's also blowing in a house full of Jacksonville in-laws. I just called my wife to "volunteer" to stay at the camp so it's not so crowded at the house.

I got in a few miles of night hiking last night without injury. I did walk up on my cousin having a secret meeting behind her trailer. I was road hiking and saw headlights behind me, but then they turned off. Her place is the only turnoff along there, so I went back to check it out. {she lives out of town, and had ask me to keep an eye on her trailer} As I got closer, I saw a couple pitching a tent. I figured if it was kids trying to break in, they wouldn't put up a tent. Then I heard her talking, so I left without saying hey.

It's sunny and warm this aftrnoon. At 1700 it's 88F with 48% humidity. Forecast high of 90F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 61F tonight. I have 10 days of sunshine and low RH predicted, with about a week of that with lows in the 50's. This will be my 2nd taste of fall so far.

I had office relief yesterday. The best part, there were no customers scheduled, so I was able to get down in the kitchen and bake some Canna Banana Bread. {BST2 Rotten Stinking Bastard trim} Turned out pretty good. 2 hours 15 minutes at 210F.

We do get some strange weather around here.

I took down my second to last plant today. I'd been seeing PM on it, but didn't really see any bud rot or worms... until I was processing it. I've run out of time, room, and energy to hang and dry plants so this whole plant went straight into the freezer for hash. As I cut all of the individual buds apart that made up the colas, I discovered all this season's 'usual suspects'; small worms (who for their size did a surprising amount of damage), bud rot, and PM. Not a devastating amount of any, but some of each. After throwing out the bad stuff, I still put three full 2 gallon ziplock bags into the freezer. Good enough.
