So got a spare little 2x2 drying tent which I’m gonna fire up soon.

As the months get warmer my HPS lights get too warm upstairs.

What sort of power am I looking at?

Never used LEDs before of researched much. Just know they run cooler.

Any help is much appreciated, cheers!

A 200-300 watt (at the wall) LED would be more than sufficient in a small tent. You'll use half or less of the electricity and run 60-80% cooler.
Are you going to be doing the entire grow in this tent and light, or is it just for veg? I ask because I think the quality of LED lights makes the most difference during flowering. I started 4 of the same strain fem photo seeds at the exact same time. Two under a Mars Hydro TS 1000 in a small tent and two in another tent using an HLG Rspec. Both plants were in the same medium and size pots (coco/perlite), and given the exact same nutrients, watering, light cycles etc. I saw very little difference between the plants overall through an extended veg stage. Once the lights were switched to 12/12 the ones under the HLG stretched a little more, but otherwise both developed roughly the same amount of bud sites etc. The major difference was notable after 4 weeks or so of flower. The HLG plants had noticeably larger flowers. Nothing extreme, but you could see an obvious difference. After 8 weeks of flower the HLG plant's flowers were much more dense and on average were much larger with the top colas being nearly double in diameter.
I'm not saying you can't grow a plant from start to finish with one of the budget LED lights, but it was obvious to me that the quality of the light definitely affects the final yield by more than one would think... especially those new to LEDs or growing who may think that "a light is a light" and that the cost of budget vs higher quality LEDs aren't justified vs the final outcome.
We spend weeks and months tending to and pampering a plant with a goal of growing our own quality medicine and hoping for the highest possible final yield. IMO spending a bit more on your lights from the start is a very small price to pay overall. You'll recoup the cost difference very quickly and after a few grows, the better light is the much better value.

It would ideally be for veg and flower.

I found this one. Says it covers a 2x2?

You want about 30 wats from the wall per square footminimum for good LED
So your 2x2 would be 120 watt minimum, (a lot of lights are 100w, they probably would be sufficient unless you want to really push things)
Some good brand, listed from (expense/high quality) to (alittle cheaper/ good quality)
HLG
Mars Hydro FC
Mars Hydro SP
Spiderfarmer
Viperspectra
Maxsisun
Mars Hydro TS
