Good investments to make.

I'm looking to make worthy investments to my grow. I recently just upgraded to a 600w and got the phantom as my ballast. So far, I got secret jardin tent, blockbuster 6 reflector and hortilux hps bulbs... I'm looking for suggestions on improving things like ph meter etc.... I got a cheap ass ph meter so a upgrade would be nice. I do soil as of now.

Tired of cheap stuff, rather move into more quality products. Not insanely expensive either. All suggestions appreciated

Automatic Fire Extinguisher , hydro/dwc/aero, co2. That blockbuster hood is awesome isn't it?.... bigger tent/light mover or just another tent next to that one.lol I use the cheap ph meters and toss em.

PH meter is always useful, but i would say if you are already getting pretty good results and you have your setup dialled in then a good quality CO2 generator is a good investment.

While that would be nice that isn't a option lol. I only grow for personal use a 600 is prolly the highest I'll go and if I need more I'll just get another.

Wise man - I am getting good results but I'm sure they could be better. I don't really even test my pH. I would like to get a quality meter so I'm open to suggestions there. I'd rather have one already calibrated too I'm not too sure on co2 either. So I'm not sire how that works but ik plants breathe it.

Bareaz - that's for the suggestions. Never thought of a fire extinguisher but I'll look into your items listed. Hydro would be nice though I'm not sure about the rez temps or even what system to use so I'm open to suggestions there too . And I'm not sure about blockbuster hood but all I hear is great reviews on it.

dwc is simple, though you are right res temps can become an issue. Hempy style like mine is hydro. A ph meter for me is probably my most important tool, I cant wait to get a good one.

I see. How do you keep temps down? Can you get some type of chiller or something? I'm not sure of good pH meters I would gladly invest in one...

Automatic Fire Extinguisher
This is one thing none of my rooms or rooms I setup for others will go without.
They run right around $40 for a small one, I know of no other way to spend $40 on a grow room and get as much piece of mind.
Its great being able to leave my grow room and not worry about a fire at all.

Yeah I'll def get one of these in the coming months. I usually upgrade or buy new stuff after every grow because I get enough bud for the items to pay for themselves. Just upgraded to a 600w phantom fm a 400w magnetic htg supply so its gonna be a big change I think.

Im sure there is a very small chance of malfunction.
They have the sprayer with a little glass tube of red liquid like the ones you see in stores and office ceilings.
It breaks at a certain temp setting off the extinguisher.
Here is the one I got recently for a friends 4'x4'x7' tent, the video on the page shows one in action. http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-Watchdog-Automatic-Fire-Extinguisher-2kg.asp
Oh and they are cheaper if you get them in store instead of having them shipped, they have to add like $30 to the price to ship them.

Anything else besides what's listed? What about a good super soil. I know of subs but I only need enough for 15 gallons if that....

If you're growing in soil then 'Biobizz Alg A Mic' and 'Bloom Cal/Mag' are seriously good products. Increased the health of my plants and therefore quality of the herb.

Oh and not cheap I know (well, some are only £50, so maybe $40) but air cooled hoods air almost essential in my opinion. I simply wouldn't be able to control my conditions without one.

I use Sub's super soil have for years, great stuff!
I have broken down the recipe and made smaller batches many times.
Ill look and see if I can find my old chart I made to make SS in any batch size I wanted. (if by chance I find it ill PM you or post it here).
Its pretty simple to do just cut the ingredients in half then repeat till your at the size you want.
When I have made smaller batches I have not gotten the micro web on the top of the soil, but the soil preformed great.

I gave up on small batches easier to just make a whole or half batch and store it for later.
That way I always have some around if I need it.
I now make one batch that will last me all year, then I only have to buy a few bags of roots during the year for vegging plants.

Edit: :bigjoint: I dont remember seeing a inline fan and carbon filter in your list, your going to need them. :eyesmoke:

I do got a inline fan and filter ... I just got my 600w phantom today. If you can find the recipe, ill take it but I would like to use pro mix hp instead of roots because lowes is closer and no hydro stores close. I live on a low income and can only make it as I need it cuz I can't afford it..
