good CHEAP glass jars for curing?

just about to start drying and curing for the first time so i wanted to have a set of about 10 glass air tight jars for curing on hand...

but as im looking around online for ordering im noticing that they are quite expensiveee.

any advice as to some great air tight glass jars that are CHEAPER? where do you guys get your jars?

You can get a set of 12 quart size canning jars at Wal-Mart, for around $12. Or, you can clean out your own jars - like jelly jars, spagetti sauce jars, pickle jars, etc. Just be sure they are really clean, food/smell all gone.

ball mason jars get the job done and are cheap

i agree with doeyed you can them real cheap at wallyworld. maybe even cheaper then what she said...

For anyone in the UK, Morrisons have Mason jars.

I use mason jars from wal mart.

How about saving cleaned out empty food jars? they are free.

Definetely Wal-Mart... i found them in their limited L'N'G section last week.. a case of 12 for $5.99... went on ahead and grabbed 2 cases...

I don't know if you guys have Christmastree Shops Around, But I get my gallon mason jars for like 3 bucks there.

yeah i dont know what the deal was searching online yesterday.. all i found was expensive glass jars.

anyway i went to wal-mart today and picked up 4 50oz glass jars with locking sealable lids for 5 bucks each (cheapest they had).

should work for the first quarter of my harvest.. probably will have to go back and pick up another 12 or so. eeeep.

ikea is technically the cheapest in my area for them but its so far away from where i live its not worth the drive heh

Can you smoke inside that thing while it's on??? i wana try!!! $4 and some change for the big glass jars with the metal "clamp style" mason jars... there's a whole isle of glass jars at wallyworld, took me a week to find some in town, then i realized walmart and hobby lobby carry a good bit of them.

yeah, im down with the person who said recycle old jars.. and like they said.. just make sure to do a good job cleaning them out, as anykind of smell left over from it previos occupant will be transferred to your ganja... spaghetti sauce jars work great.. jelly jars too.. there are a ton of them... my town recycles glass everyweek.. you can walk down the street and pick out all kinds of jars if you don't mind that sort of thing.. if anyone asks, tell them you are starting a piggy bank for a nephew/ niece/ baby/ dog/ whatever..

You can also get mason jars hella cheap at garage sales and thrift stores.
