wow...........
Was that directed at my post? Sometimes all one sees on the tube is not the real deal. I'm not defending Blago. I'm sure he probably deserves what he got, most governors would I'd say, (I'd sure like to see them impeach our governor) but even as insane as he was (is), there was more than likely more to the legislatures rush to judgement than meets the eye.

I agree with you completely...I think if they(fbi) had him dead to rights, they would have already gone before the grand jury...

Say Tips, I may have asked before, (Senility creeping in) but are you from the Chicago area? I hear it's kinda cold back there.

blago..has a right to face his accusers..he has a right to a fair trial..he has a right to the evidence against him....these are ALL HIS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS..they are his rights..he was a twice elected governor of a crooked state...if they can violate his constitutional rights what do you think these fucking commies can do to you ? or me?this country is OUT OF FUCKING CONTROL...
I would totaly agree, but this wasn't a criminal trial, that's coming up next where he can use everyone of his constitutional rights...

Rod is on tape discussing what the seat is worth. The seat was never promisedto anyone or sold to anyone. The act of a crime is lacking in this case. This does explain why ZERO state charges have been filed.

I wonder if it was oprah who was willing to buy the seat, odd how her name made the short list....

I don't know about Blago's guilt, but he seems like a pretty sleazy guy. I use to work for a guy that acted just like that, and he was guilty bastard for sure.

But this was impeachment process with a whole new set of rules rather than a criminal trial.

If you are looking for guilt check out State Insurance Commissioners, or County Commissioners.

Where ever there is lots of money is where you find corruption.

This was Blagos big chance at a real payoff.

Senate seat anyone.

That guy was obviously slimier than a used car salesman with a crack habit.

I can't believe anyone buys into the crap he spewed on tv about how everyone was against him because he fought for the poor etc etc. What a crock, but it worked, here we see in this thread a couple of examples about how you can cloud the truth and get off.

Just one jurror in his criminal trial might buy that shit too, at least just enough to get him off with resaonable doubt but it's good that he's out of office and permanently barred.

With the economy the way it is right now I wonder how hard it will be for him to find a job. I hope he's conviced so he looses his pension too.

wow, I not even sure what he's guilty of and yet you want him hung?

He was caught talking about using his office/position for personal gain, totaly unheard off huh?:o
While in office he kept the IL house in check and the daley machine on point.
Just for the simple fact that he stood up for the elderly giving them free bus passes and away to get cheaper meds, while others where looking to raise taxes on fixed incomes. Just those two actions has really helped out my parents..
Hell, my parents are more worried about these programs getting shut down, then any back door deals being done.
as my father would say, 'you don't cut off your nose in spite of your face.'

Tho, I do love to watch the libs eat ones own, they sure are good at it!!...whos next?:-P

Funny, I'm a "lib" and I plainly agree with you, well except the part about us eating our own. How insane is that? I must make an appointment with a shrinker, I must be losing my mind.
