I started growing about 14 months ago, i went from hydro drip setup on ebb n flow tables. I then switched over to SOG and now i want to give vertical a go.

I have a 10x9'8x9'8 room. I'm thinking about setting it up stadium style in 1 gallon grow bags. I will be running 2 600's and 3 1000's with the bare bulbs hanging in the room.

My question is, if i'm going to be running the room with bare bulbs would a 24,000 BTU ac suffice to cool the room down efficiently and maintain the temps at an appropriate level?

I run botanicare pure blend for veg
Fox Farm nutrients for flowering
Humbolt gravity and purple max. Big Bud is something i like to use as well.

I was running c02 in my last grows but i had a sealed room then with air cooled hoods so i'm not sure if adding the AC will ruin the use of c02.

Thanks for your help!

yeah. as long as the exhaust of the AC unit has a way to get outside. i'm guessing you're in a bedroom with a window and therefore the unit would be outside... so yeah you could prolly get away with a little smaller AC even.

how many plants are you doing?

fuck yeah vertical is theonly way to grow i just switched over from a flat gardenand i'mgoing to double (at least) my yeild. I do think tat ac will be fine. I run a Flojo style vertical w/ shelfs and gutters ect. 20 palnts, 1600 watts thinking i'll getclose to 4 lbs.i got three weeks to go and its a f'in jungle in there.

nice mr. duke how long did you veg each of the plants for?

The AC unit will be placed with a window mount kit so that the exhaust is blown outside of the room.

I'm trying to follow norther farmer's precedent grow. He did around 100 plants in one gallon bags and yielded around 6-7 lbs with 4000 watts of Metal Halide.

I'm running soil, and will have a manifold set up with a drip ring going to each plant. Every two days i'll water by turning the pumps on and measuring how much water each plant needs. Each drip line will have a flow valve on it in case some plants hold more moisture then others and need to be skipped for a feeding.

I'm still trying to figure out how i'm going to deal with all the run off water. I've never dealt with grow bags. Do they have holes on the bottom that allow it to drain? If so any ideas on how to control the run off? i'm using 2x6 with the bags sitting on top of them. Keeping it simple and basic.

I did a few stadiun runs and wasnt super stoked, but it was much neater than flat grows
i did 1gal bags and then 3 gal pots....same yield .o5gpw.My advice would be to have the shelfs movable so you can keep them very close to the lights.aand hang aat least 2 light strings so bottom gets good light.

Full on vert should do you better, like the hydrogon etc..good luck

check out flo's round 2 or 3 grows this shit is crazy if i recall he got 6+ off 4- 600w hps do a search its worth the time to read it

If ur gonna do vertical, hydro or aero is only way to go.All u need is 4 or 6" pvc, fittings, resevoir, net cups, water pump and lighting.Have ur pvc pipes staggered for a stadium grow and connect all them so they run back to resevoir, basically, its a recirculating DWC.Have a large pump, around 1000gph and connect with fittings to one end on each tube u have and u want a dam on other end of each tube to adjust ur water level.Only maintenance u have is keeping pH in check and changing nutrient solution.Oh,the constant flow of the water provides enough dissolved oxygen for healthy plant growth. If ur pump were to quit on you,ur plants would survive a good bit of time because of the dam on each tube will keep water in to provide plants with food, hope this helps u out bud...
