So i have to move for my job but i will get to come home on the weekends. Although this really fucks up my plans to grow i dont think i have to call it quits just yet...

Does anyone have any ideas what i can grow with?
I have looked into wick systems and that is my last resort seeing is there is nothing on the internet to support the wicks success im having my doubts about it.

i also saw autopots they are just like hempy buckets but they are self watering i liked the idea of these but i want to go SOG for sure if im going to be gone 5 days a week

Does any one have any suggestions?

yah brotha its going to suck stealth grow is not an option my roomates arnt chill... i live in the city the jobs at 5 days a week but i have a home (4 hours away) and i go home every weekend so if i can find a way to make a passive system i can take advantage of the grow space and un used energy! almost perfect conditions if i knew how to make it work. I was thinking about a res with a pump that fills a flood tray about 1 inch or maybe 1/2 inch a day or every other day depending on how it responds with a 75% perlite to 25% Coco....

I've been thinking about the same kind of setup using my Botanicare 2x4 trays with the autopot control module hooked up to an elevated 40 gal tub. My concern is that there might not be enough dry time before it floods again. I'm using the 7 gallon smart pots with sub's super soil under a 600 hps in two 2x4 trays.

Anyone with any autopot experience engineering it bigger? Pimp my Autopot.

good thread, I be watchin'

I think you have the right idea with a wick or irrigation setup.they are very simple and have been around forever. And they are very cheap and low maintenance. They have few or no moving parts or things that can go wrong. I would use a large hydroponic tray maybe 8x8 and use 3 gallon grow bags filled with a wickinh medium. Water before u leave for the week, setup the timer to water once again during the middle of the week. At each watering only allow 3 maybe 4 inches of water into the tray and allow the medium to wick up the nutrient solution as the plant needs it. Should work as long as u have ample ventilation to keep humidity down. And if u have to much water left when u get home or not enough then adjust accordingly
